Reddish Vale Country Park **SECRET WATERFALL** 

My grandad used to take me walking all around the vale on the weekends... actually never realised how much I missed doing that. Good to see you Dan.

That secret waterfall is Harrison's Weir.Built in 1790s to speed up the river tame that fed the mills on portwood.

In the 1950's we had an allotment about a 100 yards down stream

the weir / waterfall provided a head of water for the mills down Tiviot Dale

You had to go for the track DON’T GO CHASING WATERFALLS mate 😂
