I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this person met certain... demographic characteristics that reddit could overlook their heinous past. Instead, they tried to censor this whole event into the memory hole. I really hope that the users of the site realize there is still more digging to be done, but given the history of things like this, I'm sure that the conclusion for the vast majority of users will think that there's nothing more to it. No way in hell a company gearing up for an IPO would not background check their employees.

I don't believe reddit, being a multi million dollar company, doesn't have at least a rudimentary HR team that, at least, googles someone before hiring them.

This is why I refuse to praise Reddit for firing her. It was the right thing to do, but they only did it when millions of users protested. This seems like it was public information in the UK and could be proven with a Google search, but instead they just banned people who posted anything related to her or her past for TWO DAYS instead of doing WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE BEFORE SHE WAS HIRED (although I suspect they did vet her and just didn't care about her past and only fired her due to the backlash). It's like Instagram's new policies that are supposed to reduce online grooming/CP accounts, but instead seem to be a way to get more information from users and only happened after months/years of protesting (I think Ready To Glare is the one who made the video that I saw). They just want to pacify the users and cover their own ass instead of resolving the issue (although when it comes to the Reddit situation there isn't much else that can be done).

The right-wing believe Reddit is completely left-wing and the left-wing believe Reddit is completely right-wing. But yeah, regardless of politics, the more popular pages don't match my interests much. r/wholesomemes has turned especially bad; that subreddit can't do its name right and has simply turned into another r/getmotivated or whatever. Yeah, it's a wholesome subreddit, but it's literally just stolen comics at this point, no memes.

The person was mentioned in passing in an article about past difficulties in the Green Party, and the Reddit post linking to the article was edited out and the user banned by the admins. The r/ukpolitics mods immediately privated the subreddit and contacted the Reddit admins for an explanation as to what had happened, and that was when it was discovered that the admin action was taken due to Aimee Challenor's name being mentioned in the article.

They’ve also actively removed posts depicting political artwork of Xi Jingping as a cell of coronavirus while allowing posts depicting political artwork of Donald trump as a corona virus cell. They’re heavily skewed in favor of CCP material and they censor any dissenting opinion towards the CCP, be the political compass Left or Right.

oof im here Oh... yeah, age regression as a stress mechanic nauseates me. I’m not going to go into too much detail, as it’d take too much time, but basically: my mind has an extremely poor capability to handle stress (in a nutshell), so even the most menial of setbacks or bumps can wreak havoc on me emotionally. My parents are absolutely amazing, unfortunately, because of this thing in my head (or rather, complete lack of it) I spent most of my younger years with a combination of that and some other pretty garbage combinations of illnesses. It’s much better now, however, I stressed out my family for so many years, and now when I look back in the past, I feel ashamed and guilty- even if the issue wasn’t (and still isn’t) entirely in my control. It’s why age regression as a coping mechanism scares me. It brings this sort of absolute fear of going back into the miserable state I was in, and also meant going back into a state where I’d see my parents crying over me. And so, when I hear about things like ABDL people who rely on it for traumatic reasons, I can’t help but imagine myself in their spot. It scares me. Sorry for the long response, could’ve been even longer but still extensive to read. Felt I had to get that off my chest as soon as I connected the dots (since it was the first thing that hit me, and the feeling wouldn’t go away)
