This is so well thought out I feel like you tapped into a lot of ideas that make so much more sense for the characters while also setting up the plot line in a way that’s eye catching and adds to the story without giving it away right off the bat. Very intelligent way of reimagining this story that I’d love to see actually brought to life because it would be so satisfying to see
It's the author/DM in me that can't help but to come out. If I can pull together disparate plots into a cohesive story for my players, than I can do it for a show that's overflowing with potential
Idea for the girlies who hate themselves and want a similar "will they, won't they?" dynamic: during Adrien's transitional fashion stage, Marinette (and maybe the audience too?) questions if maybe Adrien is working with Hawk Moth because Gabriel is taking advantage of Adrien's change in style to dress him how he wants (with similar motifs, silhouettes, and colors that Gabriel himself and Hawk Moth use, or even in Peacock inspired outfits for the tragedy of it) and so the foreshadowing wires get crossed Also so real of you to say the director is the worst lol
Have been a bit nostalgic for the show these few days (I refuse to watch it again, but I still reread some old fanfiction), so the timing was perfect! I'm not sure if this idea would work with the timeline of your story, but I think it would be interesting if when Lila goes after Adrien, she dresses in creams because she's imitating his old self and doesn't understand who he really is now.

Do you have all of these on a pin board? It would be fun to try drawing from these inspirations, and I mean pencil to paper or tablet drawing

I absolutely love all these concepts but how do you plan to keep these people’s identities ehret from the audience? They’ll have the same face sculpt or actor depending on the medium so the audience would at least have a very strong inclination that they are the same character right?
I think, part of it is having the hair color changed and having the masks cover up more of their face than the eyes. Something more similar to Gambit from XMen. If people wanted too, they could definitely find our every detail and know identities based on voice/actors, but it's the immersion quality since we're watching from Marinettes pov, nothing gets confirmed until she's more ready for that knowledge
