Honestly I’m gonna say it: Arkane is highly overrated. Their only really truly remarkable game in the last decade or so was Dishonored :/

agreed. I want to be interested in this. The dialogue pretty much put the nails in the coffin for me. I'll consider it if lots of people say it's worth it after it releases.

What trailer did you watch? Guess maybe it’s because I’m not a big Arkane guy but art style wise it’s pretty unique. Nothing else looks like this. Especially the goofy character proportions

I was expecting that particular and singular aesthetic that Arkane is known for also. I admit, both the style of game and the art design initially left me deeply disappointed. But that has sort of given way to some optimism -- albeit hesitant optimism -- that Arkane will still pull off something special.

Completely agree. This reminded me of Fortnite and Left 4 Dead combined.

@@george_MF_washington I THINK he means "atmosphere" when he says aesthetic. Arkane usually makes very serious, thought provoking games, with dull and seemingly hopeless situations involved... and this... is nothing like that. I highly recommend you play Prey, it's one of my favorite games of the last console generation and probably the best game Arkane has made. It takes place aboard a corporate owned space station that's swarming with aliens and a member of the board of the corporation (you) has amnesia and has to stop the alien threat.

I come from the future, the game's cutscenes look nothing like this. They instead used MS PowerPoint Presentation slides to convey the "story."

@@zedcunningham6975 You are undermining the vast lore and potential for story that TES series has. People love it because, ironically enough, it is one of the most diverse fantasy worlds out there. But you are undermining all of that for a cinematic trailer about a game with no gameplay.

@@deleonfountain8220 i was the same, can't believe they ended the show with this and expected us to be excited about it, maybe show gameplay but not even that, its hard to be excited about something we don't really know how it looks in actual gameplay

it is Left4Dead with vampires instead of zombies. Prey and Dishonored 2 were flops, so Bethesda wanted another gaas for their portofolio, instead of a new sp IP which would probably bomb. but If that flops as well, say goodbye to Arcane.

@@KilliK69 I don't know man...I think the days of shuttering doors over poor sales might be a thing of the past and I'll tell you why. I have noticed a big change in the industry from 2020 to now. Ever since the Cyberpunk 2077 fiasco things have shifted and it's about damn time. Think about it, E3 2019 was about games as a service, loot crates, devs attacking their fans, endless pandering, and a one sided fight between the console juggernauts. We didn't see an E3 in 2020 but had we it would have been more of the same and I think the industry was headed for a crash (Western developers). Developers and publishers alike are now walking on eggshells. Publishers are moving away from the negativity as fast as they can and for very good reason. It takes one spark for the whole thing to erupt and come crashing down around their heads not to mention the Japanese are coming just as they once did back in 1985 through 1999. God help them if another big hit happens like it did with Cyberpunk because history is going to repeat itself. If you're curious as to what I'm referring to look up the US game crash of 1983/1984 and compare it with what was happening from 2016-2020...the similarities are striking. This is just what I see and I have been around for a long time (started playing in 1986). Addendum- I don't think Microsoft will close down Arcane Studios. If they fail to make their sales numbers Microsoft will become more involved with their next project. Like "Okay Arkane, you're now making a WW2 FPS" something like that. Anything to prevent pissing off their customers.

What are you waffling about? How is an ARKANE game leaving on a bad note? Arkane is quite literally one of the best Studios in the world. Not a single bad game in their history.
