Eric Blore was great at every gig he was engaged in. Girl was very beautiful.

June Lang is pretty good here, and in some shots has a general likeness to Vivien Leigh. She was married for a time to Johnny Roselli, a Chicago mobster working to control the Hollywood studios. Grace Bradley, her friend in the nightclub scene, was Mrs. William Boyd of Hopalong Cassidy fame. Great to see Eric Blore in a more substantial role than usual; he specialized in playing butlers and valets but usually didn't have much to do in his other films.

Considering this film is 81 years old at this viewing, this was a well written script or play for it;s time and would go over well today in community theater, no obscenities, and crap.

A delightful era of filmmaking and story telling with likable characters. Their acting was as fast and natural as their banter and fun conversations. Raw talent and forgot names who entertainetid an escape in a time when life had little but humgry hearts and minds for living in dreams.

June Lang is really pretty and sophisticated and a lovely redhead i just love redheads but the only thing is i can't see her actual red hair because the film is black and white so it kind of makes me crazy but at least i have a good imagination

Even though June Lang played in some 30 movies, and TV too, I 'discovered' her here. Beautiful (hubba-hubba), talented, but never a star. Enjoyable and fun 'romcom'. Thank you,

This is actually a remake of an earlier Monogram flick by the same title made in 1934 starring Bruce Cabot. Nice to have this newer version as the older one is probably a lost film.

The script/plot could have easily been better, but it wasn't a bad film at all. If a script is acted out a few times by actors while it's being written, rough spots are easily spotted, and can be fixed. The unevenness of the couple's relationship hurt this film. You need fighting and tension to have a happy ending, but how the fighting is done, and how the relationship is paced makes a big difference to the audience. That dynamic has been the heart of thousands of movies, and the films that have it worked out well, are very good.
