I never thought I’d be someone who enjoys reading. In fact, I used to brag about how I didn’t need books to do well in life. But everything changed in January 2023. I was emotionally, mentally, and physically drained, fresh out of a relationship, and feeling completely lost. Desperate for a change, I decided to do something I never thought I’d do: I picked up a book.
In this video, I share my journey from avoiding books at all costs to finding solace and growth in reading. I committed to reading for an hour every day for 30 days. It was tough at first, but gradually, my mind quieted, and I started to learn valuable lessons. Lessons about perspective, resilience, and empathy that I never expected.
Reading became more than just a challenge; it became a meditative process that helped me navigate life’s ups and downs with a clearer mind and a more open heart. I learned to empathize with others, communicate better, and see problems from different angles.
