There never was a controversy only people being wrong about Greedo shooting and not accepting the reality that it was all keeping a PG rating. Lucas lied about things alot but he told on this one. The meanest trick is the one on the fans of Fett. He hates Boba Fett and never wanted anything published where he lived. He all but insulted the fans for buying the Tales of the Bounty Hunter series when it came out. He was completely open that anything he does with Boba Fett was to just sell figures. So when you ask yourself how Jango was picked to be the gene template for the clone army ..figure sales is why every clone is a Boba Fett technically now and that was his final slap was making Boba Fett the least special person by number of him in iterations. People are weird about accepting both sides of things when it is not a big deal to them also.

I know a lot of people want to bash them (and particularly Mike) for their outrage over Star Trek, but here's the difference: Mike realized Star Trek's dead and has moved on. He doesn't hate watch any of the new series or shows; he knows the Star Trek he grew up with is long gone, so why waste time on garbage he doesn't enjoy? I feel the same way; was a big Star Wars fan when I was a kid, was a HUGE gamer back in the day. But the fact is, Star Wars is dead. Most of the Gaming Industry is dying. I'd rather be happy with my life, so I moved on. Found some newer, more enjoyable hobbies to participate it. I think people need to just do the same rather than provide them with rage-clicks and the like.

I agree, I have no bias for RLM and I do feel like it’s forced, especially in the beginning of the apology. It feels more genuine by the end when he was putting himself in a similar scenario.

That it what they are saying, but the unspoken part is that they are still consuming product. Not only are they consuming product, they are presenting said product to their audience and trying to get more people to consume it as well. So their full words with their actions are "who cares, it's all getting ruined anyways, and we (RLM and their audience) will watch Star Wars no matter what" and that is a massive, IP ending problem.

@@Herr_Affe It's kind of crazy to me that the guys behind Venture Bros are one of the only examples for a show that I can think of where they actually checked their own fan wiki when writing new episodes. Doing so allowed them to expand upon the world lore, character roster, character dynamics, etc. just based off of jokes and throwaway dialogue and the series just got better and better from like season 3 and 4 onwards because of it. Watching the show for the first time is kind of a wild ride because of how many things come back into relevance episodes or even seasons later. I wish the people behind that shitty Fallout show or any of these shitty Star Wars shows did the same thing instead of just rubbing their nuts all over the lore.

@@KingArthur39 Theory told his audience that the lore changes in adding Ki-Adi-Mundi was shit and not thought out. It seemed like the show's director wanted him to be there and quickly changed the Lore on his species to fix it. Becasue they didn't think beyond what they were doing.

I was recommended RLM's vids for a whole decade by a friend. When I checked them out, I scrolled through their reviews for maybe 5 mins before I found something I gave a shit about. They do fringe content(nothing wrong with that at all, just less popular).

Pretty sure it's to preserve the Hollywood connections they've made.
