Why Xiomi cannot launch Mediatek in India??? A22 & P22 are Ai based 12nm chipsets! They would be idiol choices for Global launch.

I think they will keep sd 450 in Redmi 6.. And to survive the stiff competition from xiaomi models, the company has to price the 3gb varient at 8000rs which is not going to happen.. 2gb Redmi 6 at 7k and Redmi 6A 2gb model at 6k looks promising.. And they can also sell 3gb Redmi 6A for 7k. But unfortunately they will price Redmi 6 3gb at 9k and everyone will go for Note 5 or Y2 which sell at 10k. By the way, Redmi 4 sales have been stopped in Amazon, and Xiaomi would have stopped the production of Redmi 5 in India. It is the only phone below 10k which is available without flash sales, which tells the story about the demand of a flopped model..;

I actually like what they are doing. Their goal is to give buyers the most value for money. The main focus should be on Performance and Camera. Other Can be just good enough so they have enough budget to spend on the important thing. 3000 mah is good. Plastic Build is fine.

C4ETech For Your ques : For my country bangladesh I don't want to see this phone here because I too use xiaomi and I recommend it to my friend as a budget smartphone but I think the company forget about us and want to make profit while they are still in the market it's frustrating than boring. I mean just look at the redmi note series they launched redmi note 3 with snapdragon 650 and launched redmi note 4 with snapdragon 625 note 5 less than 650(that's what i have to know). I know they improved their design and screen a little bit but that's not an excuse cause we the buyers expect that the next generation will come with some improvement but what they do battery are getting more and more ridiculous these days and soc too.And now they diched snapdragon and go for the mediatech and talk about ai bullshit which no one cares about as a budget smartphone !

Why everyone is being dumb without understanding the Context and Intentions of Companies Offerings..... This is a steel deal from Xioami, Redmi 6A has significant improvement interms of Display and SoC which is big thing for a smartphone selling at RMB 599..... Redmi 6 is very good on what it is offering, yes it reduces Display and battery size but it has more efficient SOC to tackle that and has a dual Camera setup similar to Note5pro which is big thing for a smartphone selling at RMB 799 and everyone forget it starts with 3/32 GB variant....It means it is offering better Camera's with slight redesign and RMB 100 less than previous model which starts with 2/16 GB variant why won't anybody consider that.... Just think about it before saying boring and Downgrade....

I think for India, Xiaomi would go for Snapdragon 450 for Redmi 6A and Snapdragon 625 for Redmi 6. And Xiaomi seriously needs to do a design/build overhaul for all it's phones. It's become too repeatative.

I don't want Xiaomi to launch the snapdragon variant of the Redmi 6 with the 625. Sure it's a great chip, but I currently have a Redmi 4 Prime that also has the 625. So Xiaomi should at least use a slightly better chip, like the 630 or 636. If not, I won't see any reason to upgrade.

Actually Xiaomi got set back in Chinese market from number 1 to 6 because of only battery & processor power and they lose their crown to vivo,oppo,huweai for their camera hype. So they don't want to make same mistake here, so as trend goes to camera hype. And for people perspective they don't do update from redmi 3,4,5 until they get better camera option. Look at Apple 6,6s,7,8 get better and better camera and people getting buy the same devices again and again. So they want to follow their path. Let's see what happens next....

As much as I hate Xiaomi for reducing battery capacity...it wouldn't affect much as the redmi 3s & 4 had 28nm chipset and this has a 12nm one....it would still be less but not a deal breaker

In note 5 u r still on android 7 and single camera and 5 megapixel no usable camera, same used in mi a1.. but lower budget phones like Y2 getting 16 mp camera at 9999? We may feel confusing for buying a xiaomi phone just because many models in buget segment but all of them has specifically better camera or battery or processor,etc so it looks like xiaomi couldn't make the phone with all the features we need as a single phone that's why they split up n release different phones over the budget ......... actually we just need to know what do we need exactly while buying a phone ........ There was time when I don't used to look for any other phone than Xiaomi that much I loved it. But day by day I'm kinda started disliking it since the launch of Redmi 5A and Redmi 5 and so on, they kind of becoming like Samsung and brands price to offer value is decreasing and and sudden price hikes of Redmi 5A and Redmi note 5 pro after so many units sold. Xiaomi established so much and reached at such a height without and advertising till Redmi note 4 as their price to offering value was great. But its completely a act foolishness I don't find a reason why suddenly the company is spending so much on advertisement when the company is already so much popular and loved and very much established, and the result of all these is price hike and the price to offering values decreasing. And the love for Xiaomi also decreasing in our hearts. I need to buy a new phone and I'm looking for someone other brand which could be better but another thing stops me from sifting to some other brand is my love for MIUI it has all the necessary apps inbuilt and we don't have to install any third party apps, one new draw back of MIUI inbuilt music app and Mi app store is those popping up advertisement of other app. I wish Nokia X6 comes to India and I will definitely buying it.

Xiaomi's main usp is supposed to be their battery life. And they're degrading it day by day. Their budget range is becoming boring. They should make something new and now target the around ₹25k mark.

The redmi 6 series is now back in its handy form. Very delighted. Battery trimming is disappointing.. Would love to see this form factor with some battery improvements. And its nit becoming boring. Its ok untill the have plans to bring mi a2 or a2 lite to india.

SD 450 is far better then mediatek helio p22.the p22 even does not support a full hd display and the GPU on sd 450 is far better.

At the end of the day plastic is going to feel like plastic, metal like metal and glass like glass. Plastic is superior to both metal and glass when it comes to heat resistance, wireless reception, malleability, conduction, etc., and I am glad that Xiaomi took this step. It is not a step backwards but forward as imbibes all of these qualities. Would you prefer a phone with a good grip or a slippery one using metal and glass? You do realize that these are engineering plastics and are used in everything from automobiles, airplanes to computers, today? Plastic being 'cheap' comes from what is an askew perception. Do not buy into the apple propaganda as glass phones are prone to smudges, scratches and cracks which help with phone replacements for manufacturers.

The redmi 2, 3 and 4 were powerful phones with great battery life... But this seems like the worst 'downgrade' ever..
