We used to get quite violent thunderstorms in Cornwall in the 60s and 70s when we had hot summers. We don’t get hot summers now so no storms. I’m glad Berrymans have renewed their sign. Half the name was missing for years. I haven’t had a Berrymans pasty for 40 years. I found them a bit bland, but very wholesome and nice pastry. Bray’s & Ks are always good.
Lovely video - we live locally, you’ll have to come back next year for the festival as it’s usually packed out with tons of stalls, Male Voice choirs etc. Such a shame about the weather after all of the planning! The place that you ate your pasty was the Buttermarket….it was only opened yesterday as a preview as it’s under construction & it’s due to be completed next month. A food court style set up. Redruth desperately needs a few good eateries (pasty’s aside of course) so we’re all looking forward to that! Glad you made it to Kresen Kernow, such a fab asset to our town 👍
Good video again mate. That weather Saturday morning was horrendous wasn’t it, I was stood out the back of the waterside in the morning around 9am and it was almost dark the rain was that heavy and we had to turn the lights on inside. Glad the weather brighten up and you managed to get your day out in Redruth. 😊
