Hi everyone,
Please consider subscribing if you like this type of content and thank you for the support!
In this video, I tackle 2 jobs that help reduce the transmission noise while cruising. 1 job is a neat little trick that saves you time, effort and money ;)
As always thanks for watching and for the support.

My 924 foam insulation is very old too. If there is a place that sells a new form, I would buy a new form and replace it, but I can't find a new form even if I search with Goolge, and there are only old used ones. If only the 477 711 240 foam insulation foam material, specification, and size were listed in Porsche PET, I would cut it out and make it with the same material.. When removing my foam insulation for size measurement, it is worn out and seems to break when removed. Anyway, this post was very helpful. Witty 924 Thank you for always good videos. If BTS fans like PORSCHE 924, they will fill up magic 1000 soon... ^^

Thank you for the support and the comment Gunplashop. You are right, no one seems to make the foam new. I think if a foam manufacturer had all the measurements they could certainly produce a few hundred and sell them quickly 🤞👍

@@Witty924 If I were a Porsche executive and understood the latest trends... It seems to throw a bait to people who like OLD PORSCHE. I believe that the Porsche I bought can make all the necessary parts at any time, whether new or not. Even now, you can get various parts compared to other manufacturers, but... My guess is that old Porsche owners are potential owners of new ones. Porsche really cares about this.

Thanks, Dan, the stereo is a nice upgrade, has the old look and feel with some of the more modern tech. Hope your 924 is going well ;)

Is it just me, or is that new radio not clicked properly into the frame?

Nice work! Did the stereo come with an external mic for the handsfree? If so, where did you mount it?

Thanks Flexnes, so if you look on the righthand side of the stereo just next to the round turning button you will see a small mic hole built into the unit. Admittedly, I have only tested while parked up, the big test this Saturday is to try a call while cruising, all being well the person on the other end of the phone should hear me, I can hear them as they come through all 4 speakers nice and clear so fingers crossed on this one ;)

Nicely done, has the foam made much difference to the noise levels? And what’s the big red button to the left of the sun roof switch?

@Witty924 3 года назад
Thank Chris, big test on Saturday to see if its made much difference, my hope is in 5th gear while cruising it takes the edge off gearbox whine, That said I do need to do a gearbox oil change which can also help a little in the noise department ;). The red button is the addition front fog lights that i have fitted below the front bumper, all installed before I bought the car, its a nice touch for night time driving with extra light ;)

@@Witty924 and there was me thinking it was for the ejector seat. :D. It’s not a subtle button! Fingers crossed it’s quieter :)

I need some help with my 82 924 base. How do I adjust the idle. It won’t stay on and cuts off.
@Witty924
@Witty924 2 года назад
Hi Trent, thanks for the comment. There is an idle screw on the throttle body. When you look at the engine standing from the front of your car you will see it sticking out towards you, it's has a cylindrical casing with a flat head screw within it. you can turn it to alter your idle speed. If that doesn't work take off your airbox and air filter and reach under the airflow meter plate, get someone to start the car and just raise the plate to see if it keeps running. Then you need to look at your warm-up regulator, it's attached to the air manifold and has a couple of fuel lines running to it. Now it might just need a good clean out and nothing more, that's the unit that controls your fuel pressure to your injectors. Let me know how you get on.
