Fred Leeland Hmm, as a Ravens fan, I’m going to have to respectfully disagree. A quick internet search will also disagree with your assessment. The Ravens defense and special teams did a lot to hide issues on offense. Flacco has always played mediocre during the regular season and turned it up in the playoffs. He’s the opposite of Peyton Manning and not nearly as good.
@fredleeland2464
@fredleeland2464 4 года назад
@@Dalonghair unless you watched the season you wouldn't understand Yes, I'm a Steelers fan and he couldn't beat them for a few seasons, but Flacco played to the Ravens system and did something Kyle Boller and Steve McNair couldn't do which is get them a few wins in the playoffs In the AFC championship, both offenses didn't play that well, it was a defensive display, but Flacco kept the offense above water with that good defense and didn't cause the team to collapse with terrible mistakes Yeah he didn't do a Russell Wilson and have nearly 30 TDS (another really good rookie qb year that would've gone further if there was better end game play calling vs the Falcons on the Divisional) but Flacco did exactly what needed to be done and never looked like he didn't belong
@Dalonghair
@Dalonghair 4 года назад
Fred Leeland Didn’t Big Ben earn Offensive Rookie of the Year? RG3, Matt Ryan, Jameis Winston, Andy Dalton, all these guys had much better rookie years than Flacco. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a Flacco fan, and I think he will do well in Denver. His rookie year seemed good partly because the mixed bag of QBs before him were... not good. Testaverde was well past his prime, McNair didn’t fit their system and he never felt like part of the team. Dilfer was good at not making mistakes, the prototypical game manager. Every other QB was awful until Flacco, so he shined in comparison. I would definitely not say he had one of the best rookie seasons ever.

Bruh I really miss when we had all these legends on our defense. Our defense now is still pretty phenomenal but can’t hold a candle to 00- 08 Ravens squad. Ray, Ed, Sizzle, T. Pryce, Bart Scott, Jarret Johnson (who people really didn’t talk about when the topic of Ravens defenses are brought up but still a key & vital piece of the puzzle on our mid-late 00’s squad), a young legend in Haloti Ngata (he was key to), Jimmy Leonhard, Samari Rolle, Tom Zbikowski. Each of those role players were important unsung heroes of our early-mid 2000’s defenses. Had key guys on offense to. Joe Cool, Todd Heap, Willie McGahee, Matt Stover (Special Teams I know but before “AutomaTUCK” it was Matt “This game is” Stover) Ray Rice, Derrick Mason, Le’Ron McClain

I always liked Flacco. Last year sucked and just shows that the NFL is a business. Flacco has always had good games when his TE's get catches and I wiiishhhh Flacco was still around to play with our new TEs in Mark Andrews, Hayden Hurst.

Ed was SOO good. Holy crap. This is the time and even before that as a ravens fan you wanted the defense on the field because it felt like we had a better chance to score as a defense then our offense.

It’s refreshing though now to finally see some great offensive play, now that we have Lamar at quarterback. I certainly enjoyed the first 6 or so years with flacco, and he will certainly be in the raven’s ring of honor as a super bowl MVP, but I had more fun watching this last season where we went 14-2 and lost in the divisional round than even when we won the Super Bowl in the 2012 season.

RIP Tony Sparano Took a 1-15 team to the top of their division and snapped the Patriots’ 5-year streak of winning the AFC East, also his first win as coach being the Pats’ first loss since Christmas of 06
