If Reed gets minutes early in the season and Ime trusts him early off the bat. He has a great chance at winning ROTY with his shooting passing and him possibly leading the second unit I can defintely see Reed averaging 15 ppg and averaging like 6 assists with the minutes he his giving

I have to say I was 100% on board with drafting Reed Sheppard the day after the Rockets won the third pick in the draft. Reed so far has been everything I expected he would be and I think he will be the perfect complement to Amen. Still I see him coming off the bench this year unless Fred gets injured. And if Reed is coming off the bench I have to believe Buzelis will win ROY.

Good pod Jackson. I expect Reed to start the season getting about 13 to 16 minutes as he learns the ins and outs of the NBA. as the season flows he will start to get more as he proves he can handle more. he has a good chance at ROY if he learns the system quickly and can hold his own on defense. Eddy will have the advantage in the beginning of the season because the Grizzles will depend on him more. they need an Adams replacement and are expecting Eddy to fill it which will give him more minutes early in the season, however as you said the Grizzles have a lot of mouths to feed which will limit his chances to shine on the offensive side of the game. both the guy in Chicago and Atlanta will get more minutes early, but were unimpressive in summer league. Sarr won't even be in the top five IMO. unless he turns on a switch during the season we didn't see in summer league he won't be in the all rookie team dicussion. I agree with you Reed will not only help us with his play, but also in keeping Fred fresher which should improve his numbers because he doesn't have to pack so much of the load. I also agree that our bench unit will be better than some teams starters. Reed, Amen, Cam, Tari and Adams should have their way with most bench units in the league even after one of them are missing because they have replaced Dillion in the starting lineup. I can hardly wait for the season so we can release these throughbreds on the league

It's near impossible for Reed become ROY. A lot of guys have more minutes. He need to stay all day near FVV and see his leadership and work etic. Go Rockets!!!!❤❤❤

Its going to be hard for Reed to win ROY but not impossible. He will certainly have to make some spectacular plays every now and again to keep him in the highlights and in fan's minds. I think his best bet for getting ROY is doing something no other rookie has done. Maybe most threes made or most blocks and steals combined. He already has the persona of being poised, now he needs to work on being seen as clutch and maybe even cold-blooded. Hitting a few game winners would certainly help. As a coach I'd use him to keep Fred well rested. It was clear that Fred's efficiency can really drop off when he's not healthy and well rested. You might get to see a lot of Reed if he can be paired with Amen to make up for his lack of shooting ability. Given the team's depth, however, it just seems unlikely he can get more than 15-18 minutes per game.

I think the Rockets will run when they can. They have a lot of mouths to feed so they want high scoring games. Plus it is the best way to use Jalen. Teams with good transition defense will stop that for the most part. Ime won't give Reed many minutes until he is ready, but Fred made the comment that the Rockets run the simplest offense so there should be no problem. I hope Reed can finish high in 3 point percentage. I doubt Udoka cares if Reed gets rookie of the year.

I think Reed will need at least 20 mins every game to get ROY. I want him to win, he will need to play with alpi tho, alpi has too much attention from the opposing defense. I dont want him to be the FVV backup.

Zac Eddy is going to be a role player for the Grizz. He's not gonna be put in a scoring position. GRIZZ have already gone and discarded that route with Valentunis. He had too much usage, that's why they traded him for Steve-o, he was the perfect piece to bring the best out of Ja, Blaine and Trip, They want Zach to be a Steve-o II. Which means he's not going to shine offensively and it'll take at least a few seasons to become a good enough anchor on defence.

Lol rookie of the year 15 pts 5 assist impact winning he need to hit shots that win us games and if Fred isn't In a d Reed has to carry a large portion of pg minutes and we make playoffs then maybe but ROY is usually going to a starter or the guy who logs most minutes and best stats not team fit oe value

The Rockets should have drafted DONOVAN CLINGAN. I don't care that Alperen Sengun and Aquaman are on the team. CLINGAN is going to be a STAR. Reed Shepherd is going to be a BUST. HE IS TOO SMALL FOR THE NBA.
