0.1N sulphuric acid is $39 for 4L on amazon and an exact replacement for oem concentrated reagent.

Definitely I am rethinking about if it was a good idea to get my trident two years ago with such an expensive reagents to test. Wow two years of reagents for a few cents a day the choice is clear. And price is coupled hundreds more expensive but I wonder if they are coming to reefApalooza on April this year. Great video Sr Richard 🤌🤌🤌

Hi, I am new to tank automation, and looking for a video that provides an overview of what is tank automation and what features we can automate for fresh water. All the videos I have seen so far assume that you know all about tank automation

Hey get these in the Canadian market please!

I'm sure they are in Canada. I think saltwateraquarium.com ships to Canada in worst case scenario. Reef Dude/ Deven has few of it already and one of them was bought used by a fellow hobbyist in his area.

Hate this wording on these very expensive and complicated units for most average person is the "if we aka user set it up or callerbrate it correctly, means that it's the companies get out clause when something goes wrong and can turn it back on users and say we did it wrong. The system should be fool proof for the price with triggers to protect from user mistakes and it's not. It is a want but no way worth the money if we are realistic so il never buy it not matter how much I try to justify, it half the price maybe.

Hi Darren, I get what you are saying and understand your frustrations but I think we have to understand that these are complicated piece of machinery with many moving parts that needs occasional maintenance to run in optimal conditions. For reference, even the machines like icp or hach machines which are priced closed to 250k or higher needs constant calibrations to remain accurate in the end results. One day we will get to the point where it will be all plug and play but in the mean time, I'm glad that we are moving in the direction of automation that does alot of my work for me. :) Also all the tools like these are priced fairly high but I understand for all the parts and r&d that went into it. It's not for everyone and I get that. Thanks for watching the video and thank you for sharing your thoughts.

@@Reefscom I would agree but this equipment is fineky and glitchy. it is over priced to cash in on the rip off the reefer cash grabs companies are clearly doing not just this product. The markup will be substantial otherwise companies would have no interest in making it. The amount of people I know who took Months to finally get theirs set up as it became to much hassel, didn't work right but still have to constantly fiddle with when they set it up or those with no issue ended up selling theirs as it involved to much playing around with and adjusting. They preferred the hanna 3 minute hand checker. The general summary was based on the price and hassel adjusting it is only needed for coral farms or shops moving and growing lots of corals and have staff to check this. The every day reefer 3mins to do an Alk test every night same time, or every few days will notice what they need. If they don't have the time to do this they won't have the time or patience to maintain this equipment that is the growing truth in the hobby. Overpriced cash gimmick gagits cashing in on the hobby.

@@darrenshore5853 I guess that it would depend per user but generally from my grasp of the situation, it's not glitchy or the machine that has to be constantly be fiddled with set aside from the routine maintenance. I know quite a few people that own this and for most of them it has pretty much set it and forget it. For reference, Deven of Reefdudes, mokyi of inappropriate reefer and myself have been running them for a few years with great results. Like I said before, it's not for everyone and it's ok. Whether the price is the factor or the maintenance, there are million ways to reef and this is just one factor. If anyone prefers to manually test, that's perfectly fine and I actually encourage people to regularly test to see where their water parameters are in their tank so they can avoid possible loss of animals. Thanks again for the comments and watching the video! Happy reefing bud! :)
