#reelmower #reelmiwing How to stop a tell from squeaking in about 20 seconds. My mowing routine… 1) paper cut test 2) dry graphite 3) mow 4) wash reel 5) dry reel
Crc makes some awesome sprays, one that smells of winter green. The safety data sheet is many pages long so it must be good. I had never thought of graphite, that is a very good idea. I take a different path and aim for 100% no contact trying to leave a thousands or so clearance and frequently facing the bedknife.
Yeah, I used to do that with my manual Fiscars, but this mower doesn’t cut zero contact but it also stays sharp really well and still cuts like it did on day one with rare backlapping and no regrinding… it might even cut better. I think data sheets tend to have all of the same sections and graphite is safe enough that they use if for pencil led in grade school. Yeah, it’s good stuff. The LD50 of graphite I don’t even see listed, but there is an inhalation LD50 beyond 2,000mg/Kg which would be about 1/3 of a pound for a grown man, but that most likely represents where they cut off the test and it sounds difficult to inhale that much graphite.
No problem. Loving these one take videos… that was posted with a thumbnail and everything in about 10 minutes. Planning to do some other quickies soon… testing your own PH. Different ways to get urea down, etc.
