Where I like to go on Dewy Lake is Towards the Buffalo Creek area near German Bridge and Big Branch. I have caught a 9.74lb largemouth out of Dewy on a topwater popping in 2009. I have also caught a 4lb smallmouth around Dicks Creek in 2019 on a Rage craw. Baits I have a ton luck with at Dewy are 6xd, 1/2 oz jackhammer, 3/4oz and 1/2 football jig, popping frog, senko, dt6, and 3.25 size swimbaits.
