Great haul! Years ago I knew a Walmart that did huge markdowns on fishing tackle every February through March. I always bought last years, Rapala crankbaits, line, Berkley rods, Swedish Abu reels. I'll be watching for an Ollie's!
Cool stuff! The Ollies near my house is the same way. I find a lot of great deals and try to get them before all my buddies. The best way to do this type of shopping is if you have kids let them sort through all the boxes because then they feel important when they find the good stuff! This this is my daughters favorite time to shop with dad
5:37 Used to work in an ollies. Was my first job. Fun fact. They try to set up the stores to have an ollie face always looking at you no matter where you stand.
The Shad appear to be ribbed for our pleasure, LOL!! I love shopping for fishing stuff at Ollies!! Some good finds at your local store....BTW, I like the medium roast k-cup coffee they sale in the back ground, not bad coffee at all...
13 fishing got bought out by vmc/rapala so their stuff is on sale everywhere, for the stuff you got you did solid but you can find a lot of the reels and things at good price online if those are what you like
I just got some fishing stuff at Ollies yesterday. I got some Zoom senkos, Zoom topwater from and a Z-man topwater frog. It was a decent deal and they had some good lures for the bass fisherman.
The Ollie's near me has 2 fishing sections one like you found and other on some shelves where you can find some good stuff, including luckycraft products
I live in the uk and came over to the states and saw that people where scoring good deals for cheap i bought some spilt shot some cheap lures and a load of discounted gary yamamoto lures
What's that old school bait shop near the White, across from the college? Had that good old dead minnow bait shop aroma and more Carp bait concoctions than I ever thought possible. But they also had bargains💡
I'd be careful with any of the spinning type lures, bought some there a few years back and none of them worked properly, had to put some more bends in the blade to get them functioning
Just curious, but which Ollie's did you go to? I know they probably all have similar designs, but the outside of the store part where you are in the car, it looks familiar. Plus you said when you fish the river, it makes me wonder if you might be local to my area. (Terre Haute). I haven't ever been to an Ollie's, just Wal-Mart, Academy and Meijer. Though I wasn't too impressed with the bait selection at Academy here in town. Granted, I went in February, so it might be right when they are turning over to the next seasons baits. I also wasn't thrilled with their prices. The packs I would get from Wal-Mart might be 3-4 bucks and then Academy has it for close to double that price. Makes no sense. It looks to me like Ollie's is a little bit of a crapshoot. Some of it might be really good deals, some not so much.
