Reeps is one of those guys that'll always be a legend no matter what crazy new techniques come along. His style is so unique, and the way he controls the stage and the crowd is always mesmerizing man. His show in Japan always gives me chills 😂

You may have seen it, but he has a mini-documentary series called "We Speak Music" and they have some parts where Reeps is talking to doctors and scientists about the physical changes beatboxers are creating to their bodies by beatboxing.
he's actually known for having a very fast diaphragm which is why his breathing sounds so good... and i LOVE how he's incorporating that into his beatboxing routines
Fun facts about Reeps One: When he beatboxes, the part of the brain that is activated is the area of FLUENT language. He's been part of a bunch of studies, lending his relationship with beatboxing to be studied. One of them showed that when he beatboxes, he uses the part of his brain that people use to speak their native tongues, and less so the performative part of the brain. There's a couple videos on his involvement in these studies! He has also helped people with speaking issues, during an experimental speech therapy study. Him teaching people percussive sounds and a cadence allowed for them to be more confident in pronouncing regularly difficult sounds, and they had more confidence in the timing of their words in speech. Super cool!
