@@lily-cq4xm i think with the lining is easier to sew because sewing a folded hem in a curve is just a total pain

@@lily-cq4xm No, its optional. You can use a heavier cloth or wool felt. However, the lining gives more warmth in chilly temps and also has a nice finish on inside.

That was a lot easier than I thought. Often I find berets are too small if I'm wearing a wig (for Lolita or cosplay) unless they stretch. I'd love to do the CCS hat now to match the uniform I have

yes, It is the machine equivalent of knotting your thread the way you would if you were hand sewing. It's good to do it at the beginning and end to be sure it is secure.
