DIY Dad! I love your videos and appreciate you sharing your talents with us all. I have been watching you and lis on her channel for years! ever since she was living with you and momma!! I’ve always loved watching the videos of you together! I was so excited when she mentioned you were going to have a DIY channel because I bought my first home four yrs ago, and I’ve been wanting to redo some things but I dont know how to do a lot of repairs or any type of construction or renovation things.. nor the tools.. I’ve always been the girl who jokes about being the fun aunt and worked a whole bunch and never thought i would be the one having a child. I got pregnant with my beautiful son in 2019 and it quickly became the scariest time of the world.. I had him a week into quarantine for Covid in 2020 and he is the best thing that’s ever happened to me!! For the first six months of his life we were in lockdown I wasn’t working because I had lost my job and it was so lonely and isolating and we didn’t have many people over to be cautious of the pandemic and the unknown.. I was on survival mode at this point and could barely cook a meal without being anxious and overwhelmed!! My boyfriend was able to work again after two months! I don’t mean to be sappy or emotional but watching Alissa’s channel was my form of self-care for me I had a really bad ( a year untreated) postpartum depression after having my son it was so bad I was so miserable and just emotionless.. I took care of my son and his needs are always met and he was happy and healthy and thriving because I never wanted him to see me upset or sad because he always comes first. I didn’t take care of myself or my mental health which I don’t like to talk about it.. but I wanted to tell you and her if she would see this that watching her saved me. it was my one place that I knew I would always smile and I would have inspiration to be The best version of myself because my son deserves that! I don’t ever usually comment on videos but her channel was a light to the darkest time.. The apartment remodel videos were some of the ones that I would be watching over for inspiration and some tips! My dad is a deadbeat and was never there to teach me anything and help me or show me how to do anything.. I had a single hard working mom that is now happily remarried and I have the best step dad ever!! would you ever be willing to post a video showing how to do subway tile backsplash for the kitchen? I bought two cases of it on marketplace six months ago and it’s been sitting in my basement. I don’t know what supplies to buy or what tools to use they are nice and sturdy they just were so nice and sold me them cheap! If you can’t it’s OK! But even if you could just write instructions out or something if you’re busy I understand or if it’s too much of a hassle it’s no big deal! I appreciate you always being there and I have learned so much watching you!!! Please thank Alissa for me and tell her I appreciate her and she is the reason im able to be the best momma to my son. We son loves watching her channel with me and smiles at the tv and we watched your video with the beetle restoration and he loved it!!! ❤❤❤❤
