Reflections deserves to be one of the biggest Metalcore bands in the world. I don't know who to talk to that could help make that happen, but as accessibly enjoyable as most "Metalcore" fans see Bring Me The Horizon as, a band like them that traded in riffs for Pop need to hand over their fame and success to a band like Reflections.
I saw them on the Color Clear, and paid little attention to this album until the re-release. The riffs and solo work throughout are unreal for setting written that far back and when they were so young. Totally with you on one of those bands that needs to be heard and recognized the world over.
Charles and Patrick were unstoppable. This is the very song that got me into this band! The Redux version that came out last year is nice, but man not this nice haha
as a guitarist, and someone who writes my own music for my band (by myself), I was happy to see what looks like two friends playing something they made together, because that's something getting harder to find, musicians that play together who are also friends. These two guys probably worked relatively hard on their song and put it on youtube to share, basically for free, just to share their experience and possibly gain a fan base. but for whatever reason, the only thing i see is people bashing them for quality or whatever they can pick at. People chant about brotherhood in metal but there is none. The community has become so toxic i could grow a second dick if i stuck around too long. Appreciate music and musicians for what they are. If people keep it up like this, people like me, or like the guys in reflections, are going to stop making music for people like you.
***** You need a thick skin to release music publicly these days online, especially on youtube, because these kind of people that pick on irrelevant things for the sake of spite will always be there, and the more popular/viewed you become, the more of them will appear. Unfortunately that's life nowadays.
+colt culpepper "i could grow a second dick if i stuck around too long" that's not an expression heard very often. Might come in handy when dick one cant get it up, but dick 2 shows up to save the date :)
This is the kind of shit I love about RU-vid and the modern music scene. Two guys sitting in their living room, jamming in front of a PS3 gets 1.3 million views. No production value, no complicated or fancy camera work. Just ordinary dudes sharing something they created and finding an audience.
Love you guys. wow. truly legends. I'm honored to be a part of the legacy. og fan. i remember commenting when this first came out. The Fantasy Effect will stand the test of time, i tell you rn.
try watching this stoned as fuck, you don't know which guy to look at play. but you don't care cause you're in a state of amazement. holy shit that was great!
Reflections, Textures, Volumes, Sturctures, Intervals did I forget any plural bandname all in the progressive metal genre? I updated the list for you guys: Reflections, Textures, Volumes, Structures, Intervals, Monuments, Surroundings, Villains, Circles, Plateaus, Visions, Pillars, Novelists, Sirens, Theories, Trioscapes, Architects, Methiums, Tentities, Fractals, Fragments, Rectangles, Novelists, Currents, Columns, Ancients, Dialects, Envisionist, Perspectives
I've always had the instrumental I downloaded the original one time with vox By accident and as soon as I heard the vox I was like ah hell no!! Delete from Library..lol
I give all these dudes credit for all their hard work and compassion for the love of music...it runs deep in my veins as well...can't live without it!!
Damn you guys can rock it! Wasn't a fan of this music until I caught a shot of this video. Just amazing what you two are able to do. Have my support for sure! Keep shredding!
About 15 years ago maybe not that far back feels that long since I've been on stage but we played with these guys and watching them play lice changed my whole life. Especially this song.. It was incredible
Why this band gets so much hate in these comments is beyond me... I think it's because once this video took off, people from other music types and shit came and just hated it, naturally. This isn't music for everyone, understandably, but to come here and bash it is useless. A waste of time, really. I like this band a lot. Real down to earth guys to talk to on tour and shit. Haters gon hate I suppose..
Naaaaaaah i have been listening to this song for ten years and never put a thumb up?! I would put my two hands every day if I could, such a deuuuuuh djent, Thall must be proud!!!
I love this. I would just love it if you guys would release a remastered version of "The Fantasy Effect". While listening to the album, in a lot of parts, you can hardly hear the drums. And the guitars are super loud at some points.
True !! the solo of this song is a proof of that, in the album sounds the same! , high volume on that part! but i feel like i have no right to place a critic to these awesome musicians !!
Also it really bothers me that there are some guitar parts where you can hear that it's out of tune. I think "An Artifact" is the one with out-of-tune clean guitars.
you know nothing its ok ... try ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pW7QIqSl52Q.html then ..idk think about it 4:48 :) im pretty sure there plugged
Although i love what logan brought to reflections, its still absolutely insane to me how much talent this band came out the gate with. The fact that charles, patty, and jake were all in the same band at one point is so amazing. Stacked af. Reflections will always be S tier in my book. Cant wait for future releases
I remember RU-vid randomly suggesting this years ago... Then it was Vain Words From Empty Minds. Since 2015 you've been my most listened band for like 5 years in total on Spotify ! Just love you guys seriously
