Good question! I wanted to do this instead of a gap year cause I wanted to do more research and get another internship over the summer if possible to have a stronger application before applying
@@joshbritton That's great! I'm coming up on 3 years since I graduated college and am yet to be convinced that medicine is the right path for me to continue. Hard seeing any other options in life thought.
@@mydearriley that’s kind of where I’m at. It’s a terribly long road for any specialty I want to go into, but I can’t see myself doing anything else. I believe you’re always where you’re meant to be so even if you have to change your outlook on a situation it’s meant to be. Try and keep your foot in the door of medicine and see if it changes how you feel about it!
@@joshbritton Much much appreciated input. Currently trying to maintain a relationship with my girlfriend who is in the application cycle now. Emotions are at an all time high.
@@mydearriley understandable. Medicine isn’t always a balance-able job depending on what you go into, especially when a significant other is also in medicine. You know yourself better and I do of course, so best of luck figuring out your situation and into the future!
