Reforged Undead has FEMALE Death Knights - GOT TO SEE! No complaints allowed challenge - Grubby 

I come from China and I really like War3. My classmates and I used to watch game videos of you and Sky in middle school. At that time, the strongest humanoid race was Sky from China, and the orc race was Grubby

For a death knight she looks pretty healthy. Also her hair looks like the end of a mop. Why did they change the Naga hero's death sound to that of a Naga Siren Caster? I like her more when she sound like a grandma who just fell of a chair.

regarding those red lasers at around 5:40 , It's technically the visuals of the wisp that move from one frame to the other because they are probably culled away from the screen frostum to reduce rendering usage and then when it comes into camera view, the code instantly moves the position of the vfx to the wisp, this creates a trail from the particle effect of the wisp. hope that helps!

These reforged graphics hurt my eyes. You have my condolences.

Brilliant tactical play. The hiding behind the creeps was awesome, and Grubby judged the timing so accurately he was literally starting the camp as soon as oppo turned around. Possibly the best tactical player I have ever seen

OK they really need to fix the readability issue. For most readability issues a simple color palette modification would do a lot already. Like one of the reasons the OG necromancer is so readable is because of his super saturated red cloak (his silhouette is also super clear ofc but that would be harder to fix)

After a quarter hour of watching a dark blue-purple blob wade through green acid, visit paths of black sponge from time to time, and collide randomly with a red-orange-grown-green blob… Seeing the same in REAL graphics was unbelievably cathartic.

The hiding play reminds me of the DOTA ai that was pretending to be stupid in order to bait the enemy to come. It was walking (like patrol) back and forth in vision like it didn’t know what it was doing, but it was all on purpose

I would be absolutely terrified if the screen was loading and I saw that my opponent had the usernames of "Lianpia", or "Lyn" or the three ideograms with his famous Shadow Hunter icon and the 2,680 MMR rating next to it, Imagine non-ironically starting a WC3 conversation with:"I was playing against Lyn...". You are a man of much bigger balls than me, Grub. Congrats.

The problem for me is they overworked the design to mutch clutter in the details. somewhere in between reforged and Orginal would have been mutch better.

5:25 Those red lasers are lazy brogramming, they happened in a game called Heroes of Newerth as well. The unit or some effect recycled or not updated when off screen, because that's how games reuse memory, but when they're in range, they suddenly zoom into place. The laser may be an effect that takes wisps last position into account.

I actually never watched a game with reforged graphics before. I Saw how ugly it was by watching screenshots but I never witnessed it live. I genuinely had si much trouble telling things apart. My sight is starting to lower, so when they started playing on grassy ground it genuinely made my eyes hurt.

I am Russian and I remember that sweet times hanging with boys discussing recent wc3 strategies and grubby's gameplay style etc. Amazing time.

I think the laser is a glitch with the wisp being revealed and then immediately going back into fog as you walk by too fast. Probably happens with other units too if they pop into vision and immediately pop out.

I like the genderbent versions of the heroes, if only if the execution was done right.

I mean, the skins and all are cool, I think this is one positive thing we all wanetd from Reforged, like, let me play as Jaina in regular matches replacing the Archmage model etc. But not only we didn't get much of that, well...we got all the other stuff Reforged brought

Heartfelt Reforged enjoyment aside, the dommy mommy goth DK does sound quite a bit better than the bent DH. I give her 'hiya' 4 out of 5 Lunas

I don’t actually think the female death knight is bad. It’s just that she’s in reforged, so she’s surrounded by bad which makes her seem bad.

While the female DK VO lacks a lot of the menace and presence of the male one, the actress did a great job. That 3D portrait is hilariously bad though.

The graphics look good individually (in most cases) -- the problem is when you put them together in a real game, including the terrain, it gets hard to see things. Although I am gradually sort of getting used to it, but I will always miss the easy-to-see WarCraft III Classic graphics.

I would say that female deathknights don't make sense at the time period that Warcraft 3 takes place, but the artwork and voicelines seem pretty good.

I found something to compliment! The invulnerability potion effect looks nice.

DK icon has glowing blue eyes while the avatar does not. Attention to details in reforged is beyond me.

I feel like they just got super tunnel vision when it came to reworking all the units. It's all so painful to look at.

One of the things I noticed about the new graphics that bugs me is the buildings. When the camera isn't moving, most of them look exactly like pre-rendered sprites. You expect them to have the same perspective even when the camera moves, but get confused with it turns out they are actually 3D. The gold mines and altar of elders are the worst in this regard. They look more detached from the world lighting than the original, or even older games who had no simulated lighting.

Damn, everything is so freakin ... black and colorless. At the beginning it looks like a big black mob moving around. Then the elf fight and the bears also are black/super dark? Naga is super small and looks like a merc. The invu effect on the demon hunter was like almost invisible. And the list goes on and on... I think the models itself are fine but they really need to change the colors/brightness/contrast or whatever makes them more colorful and also easier to visualize to which player they belong. I could imagine this is not a huge effort and would make reforged maybe a viable option for online gaming. At the moment it is really a huge disadvantage using those graphics.

Grubby you got to play RE-REFORGED campaign by InsaneMonster, altough it`s only Scourge of the lordearon, it was pretty good. solid 10/10 IMO :)

well its lore possible for fm dk look at mommy Sally Whitmane of the Scarlet Crusade. When it comes to mixing units by visual, its on you. Practice and don't make mistakes.

I have a suggestion to you Next time you do this challenge say "If I could choose one thing, that would be implemented in warcraft 3, it surely is ..." everytime you want to comment about something. This way you say positive things while dreaming of a world where only 1 of those changes exist!

The whole point of RTS graphics is to allow the players to tell what is going on at a glance , reforge somehow managed to fail that , its true every model "looks better and detailed" in its own way , but it does not serve the actual game purpose. Let alone the fact that most players got used to looking at the original for so long, and expecting them to relearn and like it for 0 gain ? why should anyone do it.

I love this challenge because I think it literally is impossible. There's just not enough about the graphics that's actually good, so anything you can ever say about it just comes off like sarcasm.

I think you failed this challenge yet again. It's hard to not passively complain about every aspect of this abomination

Scaling, palette changes, and particle retouch could make its graphics beareable.

Serious question: What are the (main) problems with reforged? Played a lot of wc3 when I was about 10 -13 years old (17 years ago). Recently really enjoying these Grubby videos. All I ever heard from reforged was that it was seen as a huge let down by the community and that seemingly noone uses reforged graphics. So I would really be interested in hearing what the problems with reforged and the graphics are. I'm currently 5 minutes into the video and the unit models seem quite nice. However what in the Mountain Dew is that grass color :D.

Been watching Spellforce 3 later and it has become the standard for a good amd modern looking RTS for me. Unfortunately, there isnt much content for that game.
