Important : Video Pre Upload Delayed Upload.
We recorded this before hand and forgot until now it was set to upload, have changed the title and description a bit to reflect this.
Today i look at some of Reform UK's Contract ( Manifesto Policies ) it states needs to be implemented within the first 100 days.
We know this isn't going to happen either way, but i felt it was good to hear both sides of the argument and of course i have my say as it wouldn't be Dynamic Duo UK without that!
Thanks for liking subscribing.

If "Work is a cure, not a cause" then how would they explain the number of people who take sick time off work due to the stresses of their jobs and the people they have to work with or have to change their jobs because it was having a negative impact on their mental health?

Everyone should be working in a civilised first world country. Benefits should be a safety net only, 6 month buffer at the most and once it expires you should then be assigned community tasks until you find work. Excluding severe physical and mental disabilities. Granted some work is demanding and difficult to cope with but no one should allowed to not work if able to, that causes all sorts of problems. The real issue in the UK is the cost of housing, food and energy. People should be paid enough to comfortably live on and I have to say that with the current open borders that's not going to happen so I support Reform on their policies, nothing shocking about them at all, just radical and that's what's needed in this w0ke politics scenario.

@@maccagrabme I agree that those who can work should do so. However, the way the Tories seem to view the disabled is that they should work from home if they can't go out to work. Back in the Victoria era working from home usually meant doing "piece work" whereby you got paid per item you made whether it was making match boxes, clothing and other hand crafted items. The problem was that the employers the people were making the items for often paid them less with the excuse that the items were not "up to standard". It was cheap labour and most of those doing piece work were from poor backgrounds and disabled. In todays society with the development of technology such as computers the Tories seem to think that every person with a disability is capable of "working from home" on a computer. The truth is that not everybody knows how to operate a computer or has the mental capacity to learn how to use one either, for some it's just too complicated especially if they have problems retaining the information. About 20 years ago I remember having to attend a jobcentre to carry out work searches on a computer. The jobcentre staff thought I was joking when I told them I didn't know how to use one and was told to "Just get on with my job search." I told them that if they showed me how to use it then I would have a better chance of getting a job but they didn't want to listen. So I resorted to the old way of looking for a job by writing to companies instead but the jobcentre staff didn't think that was good enough. I didn't even know what an email was, let alone know how to send one either. I still struggle with emails and have to ask my daughter constantly for help with things to do with modern tech. The only things that have sunk in is how to send and receive texts and how to access RU-vid and post comments. I would love to be able to work from home but due to the lack of tech skills and the ability to retain tech info I'm screwed. The only option for me would probably be working for some dodgy telephone line talking to pervs as, "Sexy Susan!" as apparently I have a nice telephone voice. 😆

The lazy people are civil servants. Once again, I've been on the phone for an hour to get through to these people, to be put on hold, then put to the wrong department. Then the phone goes dead. Then, when you complain to ice,they say they never received phone calls or letters. But little do they know,I record my conversation on the dwp. So I will take it to a court if needed, then the recordings come out. Neither nor all parties will do anything for the sick or disabled,they are there to fill their pockets, nothing less.

If there were more auxillary nurses or voluntary nursing cadets then the patients could receive more basic care and free up time for qualified nursing staff. E.g. Making beds, helping patients to eat who can't manage by themselves, talking to patients and making sure they are comfortable. The number of times I've witnessed patients who can't feed themselves in hospital after having a stroke and with coordination problems who have had their meals left for them and expect them to feed themselves. Then when the meal is untouched the meal is taken away. I used to volunteer in a hospital back in the 1980's and helped with feeding patients who couldn't do it themselves. A couple of times when I went into hospital as a patient I helped other patients to eat because the staff seemed to be too busy or couldn't be bothered and I tore strips off the nurses for "neglecting their duty of care" Unfortunately the "care and compassion" in nursing seems to have disappeared over the years.

Comment removed. I will try again.. The DWP considers that the rate of fraud in relation to personal independence payment (PIP) is so small that it is assessed at 0% in the 2024 “Fraud and error in the benefits system annual report”. In total, the combined rate for both fraud and error in universal credit (UC) is 32 times higher than for PIP. So why do they keep hounding the disabled?

Those who cry wolf should have to go through assessments every 12 months and prove what they are doing to help there problem. seeing as there seems to be no large scale movement of people on LTD benefits asking for more training etc, mainly for the reason that, they can't work. it seems more reasonable to make sure their benefits are enough for them to live the same quality of lifestyle as a person who can physically work. calling what they say are 3.7million people in this situation shirkers and skivers is only going to see that number of votes against them. and yeah, none of anything on this sheet is actually costed. so thats a hard no from me.
@chloelawes8175
@chloelawes8175 3 месяца назад
The comment about sherkers doesn’t reflect the reality I agree with you on that . Yes we already have an independent medical assessment . I come from the time when you could actually have a job which would enable you to pay rent or a mortgage WITHOUT GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE. People didn’t need to claim entitlements because they couldn’t earn enough to live . I myself saved enough to pay a deposit on a house from working by the age of 19 . And no. I wasn’t a doctor or solicitor and yes I paid my keep for living at home . I had plenty of money to spare and I never got short for anything paid tax etc. work paid then unlike now and people were not /didn’t need to be punished at the dole office with sanctions for not going to x amount of interviews per week/month or being 5 minutes late to see your “work coach”no one NEEDED a work coach because they knew they’d soon be back to work they wanted to work and above all work PAID. The same is not true anymore thanks to generations of bad government policies. Who blame the people for the situation they made . And now after all the delinquency THEY HAVE CAUSED. They blame sick and disabled and unemployed I mean really who can blame people if they do “choose” not to work when they can avoid work and get paid the same amount as people slaving away in order to scrape by have vertually no spare time no treats holidays etc . I FOR ONE can see what’s happened and above all WHY.

The policy stated "low wages and high taxes" leading to benefits being a more attractive option. Farage is a business man and has had a run in with the banks. He also knows we are massively over-taxed and where that money goes. You ask where the money would come from. Farage has been against the influx of immigrants which is a major drain on the economy. That could be one place. Also, not funding wars we have no business to be in. The government waste billions on Quangos and Net Zero policies. None of these are necessary. The shirkers he is referring to are the people who have just given up and know the system is wrong. If the right support is in place and a valid opportunity to actually earn a living, then being coached (properly) would be a good change. I am not saying that Reform is the answer, nor do I particularly like Farage or Tice, but it might create a decent opposition if they have enough seats in parliament as at the moment we have a uniparty with all the big players singing from the same song sheet and bowing to the UN and the WHO. Just my two-pennorth. It's complicated!

The 3rd GP saved my life. Despite all the treatment I still have many symptoms and unable to return to work. My GP doesn't listen to a word i say. If I go to see him im constantly told he can only deal with one symptom in a 10 minute appointment. I don't need or want anymore treatment. He's questioning giving me a fit note. Even dwp don't require a fit note from me anymore. I only need one for my employer who won't terminate my contract but want me to resign. Macmillan have been brilliant and advised that I don't resign. I have my third occy health interview coming up and I'm only going to be able to repeat the same thing as before but at least they listen. The 2 strike rule sounds like the restart they currently have a 6-8 week rule atm doesn't work, and you end up having a massive fight with your PA and falling out. This is a very good rule for abusers and narassists who want control over the most vulnerable people they will take advantage of them. It sounds like something from North Korea. I was forced to uptake call centre work miles away at the restart at week 4; each advisor took digs at me. I ended up doing my own job hunting and got myself a nice job after 20 weeks working for EE.

I was brought up to believe that benefits were to help and support you when times were tough and you needed a temporary solution while you got back on your feet , so to speak. I totaly appreciate that ill health can make long term care a necessity...however when people clearly exploit the system, it must be difficult, when working full time on minimum wage , to see people driving around in brand new cars , taking 5 star holidays , and a full sky TV package on benefits , but are so poorly they cant work . I can fully understand peoples frustration and bitterness, when after paying your way theres nothing left for the above .

Everyone should be given a 6 month benefits buffer then if you need to use it you can top it back up whst in work and when it depletes you should be assigned community tasks to pay for your welfare or have to retrain with government support. The current system is unsustainable, being abused and needs an overhaul as its wide open to fraud. Also no one coming here for work should be allowed to come here on the basis of claiming benefits, including tax credits and housing. If the work doesn't pay then don't come.

Your comment proves that you are utterly ignorant and infinitely less intelligent than a fart; people who have a sense of shame would walk off a cliff upon discovering that they are as utterly ignorant and mentally deficient as you are, so what are you going to do????

Sorry, but you are completely out of touch with how the vast majority of people think. Our benefits system is far too soft. It's about time people toughened up.

Wait until it is your turn. You do NOT speak for the "vast majority". It's about time morons like you stop believing the rubbish written in the Daily Mail. I'll swap my failing kidneys and 24/7 pain from osteoarthritis for your ignorance any day of the week.

It’s not the “vast majority”. It’s a bunch of downtrodden who are unhappy in their sad little lives who love to spread their unhappiness on others.

i want the NHS dissolved also and private health care schemes returned. The State is too big , its growth mirrors the rate of social decay. Economic migrants need to be stopped and the balance between bills and earnings established. No to socialism and yes to libertarianism

How are disabled supposed to get proper treatment, if we go like America. Private companies withdraw drugs because it is too expensive. Certain treatments, too expensive. Health care turns into a profit making business rather than caring for their clients.

@@autumnrain7342 like the maimed and damaged patients, yup, waiting years for a settlement after it is admitted malpractice by the NHS. i know 5 people injured by NHS doctors and surgeons. Wonderful. @@autumnrain7342 yes i know 5 people maimed by the NHS. i pay £££ for inadequately trained and below standard drs and then pay £££ for the compensation claims when it goes wrong and then pay £££ for the admin , coverup, lawyers and scumbaggery. The NHS is a drain on taxes, not value for money, impacts medical training

@@PaulGoman-jm2svso what are people like me supposed to do, suffer. No private insurance provider is going to touch disabled people with. I know there are problems and know people who have been harmed and it’s not acceptable. I rely on them to keep me as healthy as possible.

@@autumnrain7342 the NHS system has broken. You feel the money mandatory taken at source from working people and allocated to you for your personal health care needs is better than money coming from benevolence, charity or churches to pay for your personal health care? why? why is strongarming money from working people against their will better for the nations health than voluntary assisted payments?
