As Canadians we have to wait months for a procedure or for an MRI. Why are you letting these people in? We don't have the resources. We don't have housing, doctors, nurses, teachers. Canada does not need more people. Bring physician instead and the let the ones who are already here work instead of forcing them into cheap labour. I can't wait to vote conservative!

Yes and they can apply for social assistance and medical right away after applying. The 50K Syrian refugees we took in 2015, 56% receive social assistance. We have a completely failed refugee program we will be about for years. 56% don't work, that is not a life, sitting at home and being babysat by government. Why leave to be supported by a government with no money?

Remember when they get here they will eligible for resettlement money which pays more then Canadian disabled person would get per month. Yup and the homeless Canadian will be bump from a shelter to the street to give the refugees. If they have money to fly here then they cannot be that hard up. Lets look after our own first then help.
Make them apply in their home country through a Canadian embassy or consulate, as it is, they go run the course through our courts for 10 years and what d we do with them in the mean time

How are they even flying into Canada? Don't have to get a visa and get screened before you can even get ON the plane? i have the same question too.. i think they must have a visa... as screening is done at YVR rather, once you get off the plane.. i guess then they can declare to apply for asylum.. airlines cant really screen passengers.
Trudeau opened visas years ago, it has been a nightmare because border loses all these people and they all appeal and it costs us lots of money. We have no clue where 55k people are that need to be deported. Whats worse is that 30% only of deported refugees pay their way home if they actually leave.
Define how exactly the US as a whole isn't a safe country? You don't like the policies of Texas you are free to move to California so there is no reason to come to Canada unless it for generous social programs.
It's disheartening that refugees receive benefits and favorable treatment without actively working and contributing to Canada. What about the hardworking Canadian citizens, veterans, and seniors who have played a significant role in building this country? I'm frustrated that our hard-earned money is being directed to these individuals and countries rather than prioritizing our own needs.
Why is our immigration policy so lenient? While I'm open to welcoming individuals from diverse regions, it seems challenging to assist our own citizens, and now we're considering adding more people?
Time to require Visa's from the countries where these claimants are coming from. There are a lot of other countries where they are flying from. People will say anything to get into Canada in order to make use of our social programs.
