As a syrian , i feel sad, angry and happy in same time. With all the struggles and challenges that my people lived and seeing this young lady fought to be successful made me happy and hope she will inspire many people around not to lose hope and keep fighting for success. ❤
So great to see this race after just finishing reading 'Butterfly', this race represents so much more than what it appears, the inspiration she gave to others by deciding to be there, even if personally she knew she wasn't in the form she wanted to be as an athlete, is so important. It's a simple heat, but seeing it finally as I close the book brings tears to my eyes too.
Remarkable sisters indeed! The struggle ain't over yet though. Sara's still facing outrageous charges in Greece. Absolutely despicable... Adding insult the injury. I pray the charges are cleared.
Just watched the movie and came here to watch her swim! amazing story, so sad, so happy for her at the same time. bless her, and her entire family, and all the refugees as well.
Coming back to this after reading her book “butterfly”. Highly recommend everyone to give it a read, very inspiring story and her swim in this video was also phenomenal
My heart goes out to all refugees around the world, as someone who comes from a family of Hmoob refugees myself. And to whichever Olympian said Yusra did not deserve to be there, trust that you will be dealt with.
She and her sister are inspiring. I loved the movie. It's exciting to think that people go through this every day or almost every day. It's crazy that this inspires people.
Came after watching the movie. What an inspiration ❤❤ Never knew refugees had to go through this. Thank you for sharing your story 🙏🏻 I wish I could have helped all of them if I had a Financial capacity.
