Refugees face tough controls at Italy-France border

Hundreds of French police have been deployed to the borders after an increase in the number of refugees and migrants arriving in Italy. Government figures for this year are seven times higher than last year.
French police say they return hundreds of people to Italy every day.

Been to France many times and even speak fluent French myself yet....Guinea/Konarkry one of poorest developing countries is similar to France...I think not!!!

Problem is … the French companies like to employ illegals a lot… particularly in the construction and hospitality industry! You tel them to go back???? Is he wrong? France colonized 20 African countries and Britain colonized 22 of them. Both France and Britain still collect money from their former colonies. So why should Italy take care of migrants from countries that it never profited from, and isn’t profiting from currently?

It is so ridiculous living in the past. Italy colonized Britain, under the Roman Empire. I lived near a Roman Road. Bath, England is so called because the Roman's built Bath there and occupied it. Hadrian's wall, which separates England and Scotland, was built by the Roman Army but the British don't just turn up in Italy and demand to live there permanently.

Ecomonic migrants caused by France's 200 year exploitation of west African people and resources. There's a reason Cote d'Ivoire and Guinea's official languages are French and their currencies are both called the franc, think of this as a return on investment.

Economic refugee. Help them in their country. EU does not get money from the sky. Hardworking people tax money. Politicians could not use that for others. Charity can help them in their country...Could not blame the people of France, and Italy They have to try their best they can do in their country and try to come legally. Nobody could take others' burden. Some countries are on other aid want to live. Needs to find jobs legally. Middle East has lots of jobs People working there from India. Yes. because France would not have improved the lives of those in Guinea in the 19th century. Maybe prevented some ethnic cleansing.
