I'm somewhat bummed that I had never heard refused back in 1996. This song and this album would have changed my teenage self's life.

I like to believe that this is what John Connor really got up to after Terminator 2, being the lead singer of a band like this, I could see it.

These are the guys that sit in class and hit top marks and dress like normal kids....then they meet up after school and grind out epic hardcore ballads and don't tell anyone about it.

I love the way they look so pale and fragile but are making hardcore music.

This band shaped my high school fashion style, music taste, and overall interests. And nearly 25 years later...it's still one of the heaviest songs I've ever heard.

Love this album . All the fuss is about ‘The Shape of Punk...’ but this album is just as good in my opinion , just in a different way.

You might be 14 coming across this song and you colud be french/english/nordic or slav. I'm English and came across this as at 16. Seven years before I was a bank manager. I love this band. I don't neccasirly think Marxism is a legitmate form of goverment. But The shape of punk to come is thw unbeaten and this is the preccusor. Don't let anyone guide your path. The shape of punk to come tells you everything you need to know and the song 'The deadly rythem' is unbeaten by even this band. Keep doing you mate wherever you are x
