One of Assignment America's more memorable reports was about a woman who stubbornly refused to sell her house, even as a giant building went up around her. The story's taken another twist. Steve Hartman reports.
I have been working as a caregiver for more than 22 years. It's not easy taking care of the elderly. It takes time, patience and energy both mentally and physically. And this man took nursed her for free!!! Sure, he got the house in retrospect, but he didn't know that he would be getting the house back then!
I really wish the person who he sold it to had left it as is, minus the things her loved ones wanted. These older homes are being torn down all over. The interior of her house reminds me of my grandma's neighbor's home. It would have made a great little coffee house or tea room with live music (think: Central Perk), or even a historical site.
i totally understand!! Moving is tiring and takes alot of time and work!!! life is short! im only 36 and i evaluate my time much different now than i did 10-20 years ago!! what good is 1 million dollars when your old and not as able bodied as you used to be, especially if you have money saved or have a pension already
