We're releasing Vanguard 2 on November 25th, 2022. It's backward compatible to Vanguard 1 projects/bank/presets. But also comes with 136 new presets designed for Vanguard 2.

@@joelowery999 Yes, I’m pretty sure when you click the 3 dots on the preset selector I’m pretty sure there’s a button that lets you import vanguard banks.

I miss making music with Vanguard. It’s good that ReFX are at least going to release Vanguard 2. The Tone2 plugins are also pretty good replacements.

Vanguard was the first synth I learned how to automate filters and make wobbly nuskool breakbeat basslines. Good times. It just made good sounds, the squares it came with were so chonky.

Vanguard can sound very good. Love the Arksun-Soundset. I hope Michael will one day update it to 64bit.

I got a load of milage out of Vanguard back in the mid 2000s. It sounded super tinny for leads but it was great for adding definition to more flabby hardware synths. I used to layer it with a JP8080. The JP's Thicc Supersaws provided the body of a lead and the snappy, aliased Vanguard layer provided the attack and definition to make the overall lead more snappy.

I used to use this with Rob Papen Albino 2 ages ago, wish Papen would make a synth like that again! The new ones seem to all have wierd gimmicks like huge xy controls taking up half the screen

Something is wrong with your copy of Vanguard because I've never had a problem with smoothly transitioning all of the voices when turning the FAT knob. It's not representative of how Vanguard works and it's not a fair comparison to other VST when your Vanguard is not functioning as it should.

the digi wave preset is also used in Scantraxx Roots by Headhunterz and Abject (frontliner) which is a phenomenal track with a great melody

I’m re-mixing an album from 2010 with vanguard all over the place. None of the synths were printed! Super bummed to hear it’s non-existent! It was pretty amazing back when.

I emailed RefX, and they said Vanguard 2.0 is in the works. (Of course, Vanguard 1 was already the 2.0 of what was, in its first incarnation, a pretty clear love letter to the Juno).

I remember this synth. I remember it being the goto trance soft synth and I was blown away by the ravey sounds it could generate. I heard rumors about Vangaurd 2.0 but that was years ago.

Yeah, Vanguard doesn't have x64 version sadly. It's way too old and not supported. I envy the built in architecture bridge in Bitwig.

There is no legit way to get this plugin and its technically abandonware as they are unwilling to provide it even for a fee and nothing has been made to replace it (Vanguard 2 was cancelled).

SadowickProduction so would it be a good idea to torrent it or borrow a copy? Of course I’d buy it if it was available but there’s no other choice anymore.
