As a UK resident it made me smile that you wanted to see Primarni ! It’s compulsory that you don’t leave empty handed, I always leave with fluffy socks or hair accessories etc 😂
We loved the Royal Mile, at the bottom you will find the World’s End pub which has an Outlander connection. We had the best fish and chips with mashed peas, of our trip. They had awesome whiskys, ciders, and brews. The castle views were so lovely. Glad you did the walking tour. The military tattoo is impressive if you can get tickets.
My husband and I will be doing this same cruise in August and I just want to say thank you for sharing your videos of the British Isles. We are doing the exact same excursions and day trips as you have shown …..so thank you again for showing us an inside view at those places. I can’t wait to get there and explore the history of the British Isles.
Wait. Dee! You sold floors? I had to do a double take with that. My daughter just got back from the UK in June and You guys are REALLY Bringing back good memories for her. She went to Edinburgh Castle and Victoria St. She also loved the video from Cobh. That was her fave part of her trip, Ireland. Thanks for share your adventures with us.
Having so much fun following your adventures! Edinburgh is big on my husbands list of places to see, especially visiting St. Andrews and the Old Course.💙
The streets in Sydney Australia by the cruise ship are the same streets on top of each other before I went I watched many hours of walking vlogs on RU-vid and it helped so much thanks for letting us know for Edinburgh so I can do the same studying to get around thank you for always doing great vlogs👍
This was our favorite stop when we went in 2019. We took the shuttle and got the hop on/off bus to explore the city and visited Edinburgh castle and Palace of Holyrood. ❤❤
Nice to see Edinburgh Castle. It was certainly a challenge to go from one street level to another. I wonder how Google can fix that??🤔 Jay, loved your Rumplestilskin-Humptey Dumptey side dish! 🤣😂🤣
Well done on the almost correct pronunciation of Edinburgh- that there is instant brownie points haha. (It's just Edin-bruh.) Just fyi, the red bridge is the rail bridge, the older car bridge is the Forth Road Bridge and the newer bridge is the Queensferry Crossing. I'm delighted you had such an amazing time here! These videos are fascinating to me, as someone born and bred from Edinburgh, it's fascinating and so nice to see the things that are just humdrum life for me, things I take for granted each and every day through new eyes- really makes me appreciate my beautiful city! Please come back, you're always welcome ❤ PS- when it comes to haggis, it is SO versatile. Not to sound too much like a Scotsman, my partner and I use it a LOT in cooking. Goes well on a spicy pizza, beautiful crumbled over salad and tastes extremely nice mixed into pastas. We tend to buy the tinned variety (available in pretty much every supermarket.) A toastie (grilled cheese to North Americans) with haggis inside it is out of this world!) If you ever come back, get in touch and I'll give you directions on how to work your way down the vertical city of Edinburgh, most side streets in the city centre are hills that take you down.
I'm from Scotland and I really liked to see what you got up to and it looked like you really enjoyed it. You walked right past the street that takes you down to bannerman's
Great vlog. The bleachers being set up at the castle are probably for the Edinburgh Tattoo. 1000 bagpipers march from the castle past the bleachers. We went one year. It was spectacular.
Have really enjoyed this series as I'm on this same cruise next summer (I think maybe we lose Liverpool, but get Inverness?). I think I will look to try haggis in exactly the manner you chose.
Enjoy your sea day you deserve it after all that filming 😊 Really enjoyed the trip thanks for sharing best yet love your sense of humour Jay not so sure about the socks though 😉
I’m watching your video now. Since you like cats, you may like to visit the cat cafe Maison de Moggy in Edinburgh. You would have to make a reservation in advance. Cute cats, delicious treats. Looking forward to seeing your next stop!
We are doing the same cruise next July. What time if you remember you got off the ship. Trying to figured out for what time to buy the castle entry tickets. We supposed dock at 7 am and i read this days the cruise 🚢 is running kinda late with the tenders. Thanks for the video.
Have you been to Holyrood Castle at the base of the Royal Mile? I would suggest it next time - it’s very haunted and there’s the ruins of an ancient monastery there. Queen Mary was murdered in her bedroom there and it’s still a working castle.
😍This is my favorite county to visit! Hands down. Thank you for sharing and taking me back! Dee, you are absolutely correct, you cannot be in Edinburgh and not visit Primark!👏🏼👏🏼 Fantastic series! Looking forward to Le Havre!
Hey Dee quick question please. Did you know about the shuttle to the city before or after you got on the tender? Was that an offical Princess shuttle? Do you recall roughly what time you got into town in order to do your freetoursbyfoot and castle tour? Thank you in advance. Todd
We looked at doing the train, but I wasn't into hauling up the stairs from the tender pier. We're thinking of renting a car. My husband wants to visit Doune Castle (Monty Python, Outlander, etc) and the Cave (that's no ordinary rabbit!!)
