@@gillianchanga-nj4lm Absolutely 10000% agree! and there is nothing anyone can say that he won't already have thought. When one loses someone this way, there's almost always survivors guilt and blame placed on oneself. For the outside viewers to further salt that wound would just be cruel. And even to those who think that it doesn't matter how Kody feels because they think he's so awful, I would say this: think about the kids and the women involved here. Even if you don't care about Kody's feelings (though I would argue everyone should care in this particular circumstance), imagine losing your child or your sibling and then having to hear people who don't even know you blame your father/ex husband or your family in general for the loss. Imagine how that would impact Gwen or Ysabel or Gabe or Savanah or Janelle or Christine. Even if you don't care about how certain people feel think about the family as a whole and have some compassion and basic human decency. They all deserve that much.

I pray Kody will be there for Gabe.

I also cried, seems silly to some I'm sure, I never had the honour of meeting this young man in person, but we watched him grow up. We watch characters in shows grow up, but he wasn't a character, we was an actual young boy we watched grow into a man. Words cannot express how sorry I am that this happened, for Garrison and for his family. All of you will be in my prayers, perhaps some healing will be able to sprout from such sorrow.🙏💙

Right?! It’s like we know him having watched vulnerable childhood moments and even moments as a young adult. Every time he or one of his siblings fought back tears during couch interviews made me so sad. My heart breaks for him and his family.

Any compassionate person will feel sad for such a young person who seems to have his life together and a bright future to leave the world as such, even if he was a total stranger.

I’ve watched since the beginning, but I’m so sad. I hope none of the other kids are that sad.

Not Garrison, he’s always been a great addition to the show - and much more mature than some of the adults (not naming names). This is just awful. He seemed like a great person.

Yes, poor Gabe, that's something that'll stay with him forever and a day. Every time he thinks of Padon it'll hit him like a ton of bricks. Definitely praying for him and his family.

I cried when I found out. Garrison and I are the same age and I always felt watching the show a sort of kinship with him (he always seemed like someone who had pain but was trying to make his pain productive) and I related how he moved around in the world and how he interacted with the world around him. There were times in my life where I literally thought "if Garrison Brown can buy himself a house and build himself a career after everything he's been through then so can I" I always felt like he was a kindred spirit in a way. And I know it's crazy because I never knew the man, but he had an impact on millions for the better and I think that that will be a comfort for Christine and Janelle and the family going forward knowing how much their son really meant to the world.

He was devoted to animal rescue, so anything to do with animals would be fitting!

Maybe a donation to the shelter in his name/memorial fund.

It is ununderstable especially without a published note as to why someone would take their life. People feel the need to make sense of it in their head. People are hurt. I’m really concerned Kody will blame Janelle. The show storyline is one thing but I really hope we just hear from them sadness over the loss. And a PSA on warning signs. You know it will continue. He offered to have Christmas. He said no. Hoping since then things got better. I do not want to witness a lie either. We just understand the mind. We will never really know. Just a good lesson to treat people better cause you never know how long we have with anyone. We only see seconds of Garrison’s life. And we know he is articulate with feelings. Last person I would have suspected of the siblings to do that. With 18 statistically, they will have losses. Everything will happen to them.

Well said. The most pathetic thing is many of those leaving nasty comments are parents. Setting that example as a parent is not good parenting either so how dare they criticize another parent when they role model that disgusting behavior themselves.

Sadly many people want to lash out in what they see as justified anger towards the ones they feel did wrong. Family friends experienced it themselves and it was absolutely awful. No matter what either of them have done or said, Kody and Robyn are every bit as in mourning as the rest of the family right now.

@@stephw1702 Kody in mourning sure. Robyn is just the woman his father married once he grew up. Around 16? And he joined the guard before his 18th birthday. He would have been 26 next month. This isn’t a normal step parent relationship where he spends the night off and on during the weekend or during a school vacation over the years. Robyn is sad cause her husband’s son died tragically young. She was not his mother or really even a stepmom in the physical practical sense. With COVID and Robyn and Kody choosing not to vaccinate she won’t really be step mom to most the kids young enough to be in town since 2020 because of age or choice of state to live in cause they had to be separate. They just didn’t follow the CDC like Janelle and Christine and their kids did. 3 of which did cause of military. First to get the jab. I do feel bad for Robyn just one more strain on their marriage. His wife in ER was traumatic for him. His son dying will be exponentially worse. I have a great deal of worry for him and hope he is seeing a therapist. They are the legal married couple and I hope they are successful for many decades in their marriage. To grieve separate from your child’s other parent is an unfortunate situation. But he is married. Kody and Janelle can’t really lean on each other. Respecting of boundaries is going to be a challenge for this family. I hope a complete investigation done. He was not alone in the house. He didn’t just swallow pills. If the communications mostly text, was it him?

You are just a complete stranger who never met any of these people and just watched an edited and produced reality show, seeing about a half of 1% of their lives, which they chose to show, last filming over a year ago. Know the difference between seeing a reality show and actually knowing people and their private lives in reality.

WOACB is too much, just awful. They (Browns) are grieving, not a time for such nonsense.

Blaming Kody and Robyn is an easy target. Garrison served in the military and God knows what effect that had on him plus many people suffer with mental illnesses that they hide very well until they can't anymore. I dislike Robyn and Kody's behavior but I'm still praying for them at this time.

I just wish people could be kind. Will they only be content if someone else does the same thing?
