I'm impressed by how quick you guys got it - you'd think it was obvious from the imagery since most reactors don't understand the lyrics but I've seen soo many where the blatant criticism of America's influence on the entire world has just whooshed over their heads. Funnily enough, they've all been American 😉

Rammstein wrote the song under the impression of the Iraq war in 2003. It was very obvious that the USA lied to the world to justify this war By the way. The pronunciation of the band name 0:09 was perfect.

So...I'm German and I grew up with their music. I think you guys did a great job here. The singer Till Lindemann has always been singing like this- mainly to provoke. This band's greatest pleasure has always been to provoke and make people think. They actually had one video for a song they only played on port websites because it was hard-core. These guys are crazy, intelligent and know exactly what they are doing. You should check out some more of their songs.

Rammstein was touring the US on 11th September. They ended up leaving in disgust from the nationalist hysterical frenzy gripping the country after (they come from a country that has a history of this and grew up in the GDR). The Madison Square Garden concert was them coming back to their longing fans after almost ten years. Flake especially (who is a soft socialist) dislikes parts of America, while Richard loves it and lives in New York. Get your reggae-loving friend more often. It is always nice to see people from other music genres enjoying Rammstein.

I think I looked at all the reviews and I could not find any tool that you played I have a song recommendation the song is called right in 2, this is a decent starting point I believe, It's called the Tool army for a reason. If you build it they will come,well trust me if you play it(anything Tool)they will come,besides there's no such thing as a bad Tool song,that being sed there is a shallow end of a very deep pool it's a good place to learn to swim (there is an inside joke there ) because once you understand what you're jumping into there's nothing more satisfying then diving in the deep end. This song sarcastically depicts cultural imperialism and cultural hegemony which has been exerted by the USA ever since, superseding and evaporizing all other cultures, tribal structures and ways of organizing social life by flooding markets with standardized brands and mass goods and exerting military force. The video sarcastically plays with a distortion built up between the lyrics, the scenes shown with historical references and the way the music is composed. Put in other words, it is a leftist, marxist masterpiece with Bert Brecht's elements of "Verfremdung", showing how distorted, dependent and supressed people are all over the world subjected by a capitalist, military superstructure. On another note it has to be added, that Rammstein produced similar song(s) dealing with communist motifs, thus keeping political statements in a flux of open discourse.
