These pick-ups segments with Reggie have to be some of my favorite content on this channel. Two friends sitting on the couch reminiscing on a subject that they are both very passionate about is not only refreshing but very nostalgic for me. There's a sense of realism that comes with this type of content and I wished more gaming channels shared this dynamic. Reggie is one of the realist peeps I know and I'm hoping to see more of these pick-ups with him in the future. Great compilation video! 😃
OK my SX 64 story. In 1992 I was 12. I had a commodore 64 and the local game shop had one a SX64 for £60 . I put my C64 and it's cables in a small back pack and walked there, did a straight swap. Then I tried to carry It home 🤣 It was heavy for a kid. Had to call for a lift. My dad pointed out I had just traded a computer I could carry in a lunch bag , for a so called portible version I could walk more than 50 yards with . Hahaha. Sadly my (step dad) mistook it for one of his many cardiac pacemaker program units ( which look and weigh practically the same ) he took it to hospital then it got left in the office for years and eventually disappeared. Many years after in 2015 after seeing they cost £600 on eBay I came looking for it and was upset
You guys should do a virtual one over video call. It would be cool because neither of you would have an idea what the other has if the items are completely off camera.
When I saw the thumbnail, I was thinking 'Yeeees! The videogame dreamteam is back!' Not the real thing, but still interesting and enjoyable video. Always great to see both of you.
When I saw the thumbnail of you and Reggie sitting together made me so excited. I clicked it immediately...sadly not a new pickup video, hopefully it'll happen soon. Love y'all.
Game pickup videos are always great. Especially when you’ve never played a game and you are forced to capture footage for it and you realize how great some of these games are. I never played Mr. Driller before and once I got it I captured footage and couldn’t stop playing it.
Mr. Driller is indeed a fantastic game. I first played the series when I got a Nintendo DS when it first launched and there wasn't much to buy for it, went with Mr. Driller on a whim and loved the series ever since.
@@mucknstrunz i heard reggie tweeted something and metal Jesus disagreed with the comment and booted reggie from the gang. Or something similar to that
I’m not a collector, but I love the people that keep the passion up for this art form. Growing up in a hunting culture, I have never appreciated the stories about the death of animals, but listening to how you obtain these games and your opinion of them is outstanding. Thank you for your passion!
Watching your videos has inspired me to repurchase all of my old systems and games (genesis and up). It's brought me and my son closer together as we sit on the couch and take on the old beat 'em ups like Golden Axe, Streets of Rage, etc. You and your crew have an amazing positive vibe and I hope that this year will bring you all together again. Keep up the good work!
Dude cmon already. Get you , your wife, and Reggie tested. You have the money. You guys should have a 3 hour+ pick ups video in the can when you come to
I want to contribute to Reggies collection but he never puts his email anywhere on his RU-vid posts or website. I don't do twitter or instagram so some help reaching him please!
Love how you mentioned cyber punk 2077 and it was the last thing with Witcher collectors edition. Hope you get to do a cyber punk video when the patch comes through
Yes, please, would love more of these. Of the many things I like to geek out on, I’ve realized I might be more of a geek for geeks than anything else. I love watching people love on stuff, and y’all never let me down. Best!
I swear to God just last night I had a dream where I was on RU-vid and saw a video claiming that Metal Jesus had passed away. When I woke up I had that confused feeling where you're not sure if it was just a dream or if maybe it's real, so I'm very relieved right now lol. Good to see you're alive and well, MJ!
I'm just about to spend 39 hours working in a COVID vaccination clinic over the next 3 days this will help me through it. I'll probably watch more than once. Glad to see you both safe and well 😁😁😁
1:30 - I had one of those on my desk for my day job years back. Absolutely incredible bit of kit. Had so much fun playing region free. And yes, you're right, they cost thousands to purchase. And if I remember correctly, you have to actually return them back to Sony. I know that's the case for Nintendo Dev and Test kits anyway.
I have watched these pickup videos with Reggie multiple times, they are my favourite upload. What a way to come back Jason. Hope you had a good holiday!
Hey guys! I got a OG PS3 thats backwards compatible with PS1 n PS2. There really scarce now, I payed like $350 here in Australia. It looks brand new. Its in a box too so got that also. It's def one of my most prized possessions in my collection hey. I also have a custom firmware Slim PS3 that plays everything too, so I mainly use the slim and keep the other one to play here n there.
Regarding the c64 have you got online with it yet using a wifi modem? It's something you must experience, there are so many cool BBS's to check out. I built my own C64 BBS which lets you access parts of the internet. It's at theoldnet.com port 6400!
Cool pickups. Trying to think what my greatest pickups are over time. Most recent is picking up a Laserdisc Player and PVM Trinitron. Been taking my collection is a different direction lately - focusing on displaying it and trimming down as necessary.
3:55 "Don't be paying 4-5-600 bucks for that" is too much common sense for people these days. Everyone is a "collector" and it's ridiculous how they treat money.
is this not just cuz ur too lazy to make a new video? I mean this could be just a bonus video for the week. What else are you doing during the week if your quarenteening? you couldn't make a new video for atleast your paying members?
Cool trip through memory lane. I like the pick up segments. It would be nice to potentially see what you guys are picking up lately. Maybe through Zoom calls since you can't catch up in person.
I like that enthusiasm of yours, big children, I say it in a positive way. I am 35 and I am slowly expanding my small collection and I am also happy when I get a new toy. :D
I know you love your new house and I'm happy for you...but seeing footage from the old game room gives me the warm fuzees and I miss it. Lol #IDONTLIKECHANGE #SETUPAREPLICASETFORVIDEOSPLEASE Lol
It's videos like this that make me wish I was able to find someone as cool as this to make pick up videos like this and to just talk about video games with.
My greatest pickup (profit wise): Tactics Ogre and Ogre Battle Limited Edition both complete and to behonest doubtful ever played. $10 total at local Goodwill. Best pickup ever in terms of amount of usage since I got it: Full set of hockey gear (minus skates and replaced the helmet) for $50. Actually at new equipment prices, this probably beats the PS games.
You can get a backward compatible PS3. 20 or 60 gb for around 200, but the actual debugging (test version) can go for much higher. It’s easy to spot because it says playstation test on it. They’ve sold on eBay anywhere from 400-1000. Awesome piece.
I still have my ps3 hooked up next to my Ps4 pro. You and reggie pick ups are the best👍 I have a C64 and more than 100 games in spare room doing nothing. Also have atari st but just don't have the space. Also have C64 mini still sealed. The Ps4 pro my favourite console. Just love physical games!!!
Metal Jesus and Radical Reggie make great pick up content. I miss these,by the way,I like your Deadpool and resident evil t-shirt they really cool. Hopefully we get more pick up from you guys in 2021!!!!!!
Your pickups videos are why I subscribed a number of years ago. Every time I see that you've posted a new one I get very excited. Usually I'll cook a big Friday breakfast for myself and sit down and live vicariously through the video. Hope you and the MJ family are happy and healthy.
I'm sorry, but comparing the C64 to the SNES at 8:05 ... maybe you meant the NES, but even then I don't feel like the C64 comes out very favorably. Maybe I'm just not old enough to appreciate the C64 ;D
Funny how the 64 who won Reggies heart is by me considered their least fun consoles. But nostalgia and memories of what we used to play affects alot, and the 64 aint bad, but i didnt like it. I switched to playstation 1 and 2 then wii and switch. I recently picked up a xbox360 looking forward to finding cheap games for it. 👍
It has been so long since last pickup vid and that nuke-fistbump xD would love a new one, even virtual-splitscreen one would greatly suffice :D Nevertheless this recollection is gem, although not hidden ;) Cheers to You and Reggie! :D
"It's a blowup girlfriend." -MJR Hahahaha! Such a good recap video, and I also have been missing you and Reggie's gaming get togethers! Thanks for putting together this compilation!
As someone who fixes ps3 fats as a hobby, I can tell Reggie hasn't opened this console... If he keeps playing it without de-lidding the cpu/gpu and changing the thermal paste (which will have dried up and become useless now), he will damage the console. The tokin caps are generally the first to go, but many other components can be cooked as well if you don't replace the paste on a system this old... Makes me cringe to think he is even powering on a console this rare and valuable....
