Reggie is so underrated. He's one of the absolute most consistent players in NBA history. He out ran everyone, and knew exactly how to get to his spots. He's one of the most "bad luck" guys in history too. He had to battle Jordan and that eastern conference every year, then gets to the finals and has to play Kobe and Shaq, then finally has the best team he's ever had and the Malice at the Palace happens and completely ruins that team. If they don't get suspended and broken up I truly believe the Pacers could've won the title that year. Amazing player.
A Hall of Famer and on the 75th anniversary team. Named by anyone that knows basketball as one of the 3-5 greatest shooters in basketball history. Definitely not underrated.
Relax. We who saw him play back in the 90s never thought of him as an underrated player. When pressures up he becomes more lethal from beyond the arc. Not like some so-called "greatest volume shooter of all time" named Steph Curry who can make 10 threes in 40 mins of play and then choke out the last two attempts when its needed the most.
Underrated is the wrong word, but I think Reggie gets a lot of deserved credit for ahead of the curve on 3 point shooting and I would argue being the 90s-early 2000s Jimmy Butler. Not the automatic superstar you need to be a contender, but would always get you close just based on sheer perseverance and grit.
*Reggie Miller is a Legend* one of my favorite players of All-time, *Mr. Clutch* it's *Miller Time!* he lead the league in 3s and it took years for the other 2 to pass him. *Top 3 Greatest Shooters of All-time* and *When you talk about shooting and the Greats of the NBA* you first think of *Reggie Miller, he was tough, competitive, confident and Ice Cold*
I got relatives in Japan, and my cousin - who is Japanese, loved Reggie Miller. He was pulling for Reggie Miller and the Pacers in the 2000 Finals only to come short. And he wanted to get Reggie Miller jersey, and I bought it and gave it to him in the visit in the following year, and I became a fan of Reggie despite growing up as a Bulls fan. He put fear in the Knicks and the Bulls fans with his iconic moments, and he is what the Pacers needed to turn the fortunes around. Even though he didn't win the title, his dedication to the Pacers and making them one of the contending teams in the league in the stretch of several seasons makes him one of the great competitors the game has ever seen.
Reggie is highly underrated. One of the best clutch players ever. Magic is rite on, best off the ball player ever. My opinion the goat clutch players Mike, Larry, kobe, and Reggie
I’m 51, and a Knicks & Sonics fan..other than MJ, Reggie legitimately scared me , I mean talk about clutch , and he could explode @ any second . One of the greatest competitors & shooters The Association has ever seen . Reggie was Steph Curry before Steph Curry . Pure respect .
Reggie Miller really was a killer when it comes to scoring. Especially in the playoffs he comes up big and that's why he's the legend that he is. Without him there wouldn't be scorers like Ray Allen and Stephen Curry.
Reggie Miller was just 1 additional legit player away from winning a title. Reggie was the Allen Iverson in the 90's, he would day in and day out take the Pacers to the playoffs by himself, scoring nearly 30+ a night to do so. MJ didn't start winning a title until he got Scottie, well Reggie Miller didn't have a Scottie, Reggie didn't have a Karl Malone, Reggie Miller didn't have a Shawn Kemp, etc. It was Reggie Miller and the Pacers, and for Reggie Miller to take MJ/Scottie to a game 7 in the WCF in 98 by himself was just amazing to see.
Reggie Miller was the Stephen Curry of the 90s. Not to talk down the previous decades but it was way tougher and physical in the 90s compared to Stephen's era.
As a Kobe and Shag Era fan, I effing hated this guy. He was my era's Steph Curry. He was such an amazing 3 point sniper and he caused me so many headaches watching games. As a basketball fan, I love and respect him. Everyone thinks Steph Curry revolutioned the 3 pointer. He didn't. Reggie Miller laid the foundation, and Steph Curry built on top of it. Much love, and congratulations Reggie!
Reggie miller was an assassin. In the history of the nba the only person I’d rather have take a game winning shot was mj. He really wanted to rip your heart out.
I’m from Indianapolis, we were truly blessed to have had Reggie, I can remember his first few years were a little tough, but boy was is worth the wait for his later years!
The best part when watching 90's Pacers with Miller is on the road and the game is close in the final minutes. Then when Reggie gets the ball you can almost hear the collective "Oh No! 😨" groan of the home fans because they know its Miller time. 😂😂😂
The reason why I will always say reggie is a better shooter then steph is because hes more clutch which makes it more difficult to make shots in the heat of the moment. Also reggie didn't have alot of backup so some of his shots he had where doubled teamed smotherd on d and still made them if steph doubled he got clay so thats why I say reggie better
As a kid, I became a Bulls fan during the 90's Michael Jordan era. Reggie Miller was the only player I legitimately feared. Those late 90's Pacers teams were unreal and in the conversation of best teams that never won a title. Nothing but respect for Reggie.
in ALL honesty i more the less don't like miller + the pacers AT ALL as of 12-99 + certain people say he ONLY made the hall of fame cuz he spent his whole career as a pacer + he ONLY came as high as 13th for the season mvp in 99/00 best not facing legends like west bird johnson jordan jabbar robertson chamberlain + russell
Before Ray Allen and Steph curry no.1 in 3pts made. Reggie is Clutch. Leadership is way better than Dwight...but I believe Dwight Howard should be in 75 list. I'll take out Anthony Davis...
