damn, every time I hear something new by this guy I am blown away. Its not just the inventiveness, its the quality of his voice and his timing is amazing, even using a looping station. Doing live edits, while overdubbing yourself several times is no easy feat in itself but I just love what he does. It seems effortless but I know he is just so damn good.

I'm always blown away by the man's vocal range...f*cking incredible.

First heard Reggie on the Comedy Bang Bang podcast where he's a frequent guest, and he absolutely blew my mind. It's like he has the creativity of ten people crammed into one brain.

I love when there aren’t actual lyrics at all. It makes me feel like I’m really enjoying the music at its core. It’s like he’s boiled it down.

his other unit is the Electro Harmonix 2880 4 channel loop station. In fact, he is featured on their website messing with it in a video. The Line 6 DL4 is what he uses for most everything though. What you need to do what he does is have his level of talent.

Man, it's parts like 1:25 - 2:15 that get stuck in my head and I end up still nodding my head to it for like a month. His voice is addictive.

Smokejc is right about the equipment. What i THINK happens is he creates the loops initially with the DL4, then sort of saves the main loop in the other loop pedal, then he uses the DL4 for delay and effects on his voice, but later in the song uses it for the harmonizing vocal loop right at the end. I just got a DL4 and was gonna do a brief video explaining it. Its relatively simple to use, and it really showed me the genius is Reggie's quickness, not the technology.

I can't figure out why I like this guy so much. Maybe it's his ability to make amazing beats and crazy songs that other artists could only DREAM of making. Maybe it's his comedic side that comes out every now and then in making a face or just spontaneously dancing. Maybe it's how he gives me goosebumps almost every single time I hear one of his productions. Maybe it's his multiple accents. Maybe it's his fro. Or maybe...he's the last of a dying breed of actual musicians...keep it up Reggie.

From what I've seen, the other piece of equipment is known as the EHX (electro-harmonix) Stereo Multi-Track Looper. It's what allows him to have separate loops instead one great big loop that he can only add to and turn off completely. I'm pretty sure that the Line 6 DL4 is mainly just an effects pad. MAINLY. I'm sure he uses it for certain loops. I think it's for when he wants to do the whole DJ thing and start a beat from the beginning over and over again. I want to be like him *u*

@MCVenarse It's all improvised. So there are weird little random messages thrown in, mostly in English. A lot of the time he is speaking in nonsensical gibberish. It's kind of like scatting. He was trained in jazz vocals so scatting is sort of a staple in his music. Look up scatting on Urbandictionary if you don't know what it its.

I can tell by the shape the green piece on the right is a Line6 looper, don't know the model. Very affordable (have a Line6 JM4 myself, use it for guitar). Not sure about the other one.

You can't actually post links in youtube comments, but the major thing is the Line 6 DL4. It's the pedal you see him using constantly on the left. The OTHER pedal he has i think is just another loop pedal. but he essentially forms the major loop on the Dl4, then sorta 'saves' it on the second pedal. I do not know what that one is. You can find the DL4 in a lot of places. I bought mine off amazon. Its a more common loop pedal.

@1ninjaforlife Firefox has an add-on called "Netvideohunter". It works for like, every site and is extremely easy to use. Now, if you get a program like AOA Audio extractor too you can just rip the audio after downloading the video with netvideohunter and have a pretty high quality mp3.
