This really shows Regina's character development, in season one, she would have rejoiced at Snow having to kill her true love and even more at the thought of her death, and this time she's clearly upset at having them to separate them and doesn't want to split Snow's heart in case it doesn't work. She's acting like Snow's stepmother and the interaction between them with Snow on her knees and Regina going down at her level mirrors when they first met. Regina's face when it works is perfect first she's shocked, then she's happy and relieved. These actors are wonderful
And the fact that Regina was hesitant to do it, fearing that Snow will die, and looked happy and relieved that it worked. This shows once and for all that she is no longer The Evil Queen
Yes. It was this episode that touched me about that. When she turned away so the Charmings could say goodbye. She was grieved at the pending death of David.
She cared at first, but then her heartbreak and her anger took over and turned her against Snow. She genuinely hated her. But, fortunately, she became good again. 😁
Such character growth Regina had wanted this moment to rip Snow’s heart out for years and now that she actually did it pained her to rip Snow’s heart in two.
+Khazra Fatima What she means is that Regina is Snow's stepmother and Henry is Regina's son. When someone with a kid remarried someone else with a kid the kids become stepsiblings, hence why Henry is Snow's grandson/step brother.
This is like a de-ja-vu when the first curse started. Both Charming and Snow are on the ground and Regina was looking up when the curse got activated in action for Regina's happy ending against Snow. But this time, they're in this together.
I usually crave for all teh CS moments, but I swear this has to be the most EPIC moment of the series, both when he collapses on the floor, looking into her eyes till his very last breath... and when she offers her own heart to save him... and Regina actually feeling both their pain AND their joy... I can't.. I just... X...O
The defining moment. And it also shows how Regina has changed and that she and Snow have mended fences, and Snow is trusting Regina again and Regina is trying to be protective.
Snow trusts Regina enough to let her handle her life. Regina could have killed snow right then and there but she didn’t. Oh Regina, you’ve grown so much and you don’t hate snow anymore. You are now the loving stepmother you should have been to Snow all along.
K so I am obsessed with captain swan (I cannot put their perfection into words) but I cried in this because Regina and Snow are getting along so well, and Regina really did seem hurt to watch it all
Oof you can see Regina’s kind of silent thought “if this doesn’t work I’ll be alone”. And you can’t always see their age difference, but in this you can definitely see Regina caring about Snow like a child. 💔
Regina, you do NOT listen to a woman when she has the Crazy Look in her eyes! Two seasons later, and I STILL can't believe this idea hasn't blown up in their faces yet!
Snow's coat and gloves... they're almost exactly like when she was a little girl and Regina saved her from that runaway horse. At 0:59 She holds onto Regina just like she did then, when they first met, with trust and love and faith ❤
This scene really showed how far Regina has come as a character, like just one season prior (Season 2...heck probably even the first half of Season 3) she would've relished this moment, and she's genuinely gutted about it, and she's clearly happy when it works.
For everyone saying Regina should have done this for Daniel: 1. He wasn't her true love. Therefore, she probably would have died if she tried. 2. She didn't have her powers yet.
Then she would never have Henry. I think if now she had a chance to go back in time to change the past, she wouldnt do it. Because it was the reason for everything happened, Snow gave up Emma -> Emma met Neal -> Henry was born -> regina adopted him. If she has to choose Henry or Daniel, she would choose Henry.
if anyone until now doubt that Snow White and David's love isn't the greatest one in this show,after this,all the doubts should be gone!first David was ready to be killed by the woman he loves,only to make her and everyone's lives better and would forgive her for it anytime💔Snow on the other hand,had the courage to tire her own heart in half,by the hands of her former enemy,to save David💗💗💗
Okay, one thing i really want to point out here is how it really feels like a mother daughter situation. Snow really looks as if she's pleading with a mother here, not just a friend. Su h a stark turnaround from season one.
Interesting. She used to want Snow's heart, and now she has it, but not destroys it. Regina is very impressive in the way she has developed her emotion.
Question - how in the heck did Snow and Charming go outside the town line after that, cause I'm pretty sure they did when Henry pulled his "destroy all magic" shenanigan. They have half a heart!! Should've keeled over, right??
Because emma and Neal's love is not as strong as snow and charming. Emma's true love is killian. So the idea didn't even came to her. Snow just knew she couldn't live without charming so she had to sacrifice everything for that one last chance. While emma knew she could move on from neal. He wasn't her true love.
