It's funny how you keep referring to her forward placement and anchoring that resonance because this was in fact what she had to -- more so than before (this is her typical sound but normally more effortless and not as obvious) -- because this was her last song of the 2nd night of a back-2-back concert, and her voice was gone by this point, even her speaking voice was so hoarse. In fact before this song as she was saying her farewells she alluded saying "whatever happens, happens," referring to whatever comes out of her mouth (in her encore song "Shine" not recorded, her voice actually cracked at the end understandably). As well as she delivered this song, it wasn't my favorite version of hers. I feel that she's sung this better at other times when her voice wasn't hoarse, though I feel that perhaps because - and not despite - of her hoarse voice, the song became more emotional as she had to really dig deep and channel all her energy in hitting the high notes, for which she is notorious for pioneering and popularizing in the philippines ("her belting ability), and continues to do so today at the age of 51.
I'll echo this. I REALLY want to see a reaction to Lea and Regine. They are both so amazing! (Also, I haven't had my Lea reaction fix in over 3 weeks!)

Please react to SB19 WHAT? OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO..please turn on your captions for subtitles..they are filipino boy group..they are called PPOP KINGS..they have a large fanbase in the Philippines called A'TIN..thank you and i hope youll grant my request..Love from the Philippines here..
Regine has been slaying our music industry for 35 yrs During her prime years (1990s-2010) she sounded more as a LIGHT LYRIC SOPRANO, bright, crystal clear feminine tone, agility to go up and down and play with the scales with ease, and sustaining her shimmering high notes for as many seconds. The sheer power of her belting range has sometimes overshadowed other aspects of the quality of her voice which are the ability to be soft, almost airy in quality once she transitions to falsetto or headtone. After giving birth to her son -Nate and also her acid reflux, she noticed that her voice went a few keys lower, her voice darkened, it became rounder, and fuller, more velvety, as she blossoms into a FULL LYRIC SOPRANO, what remains to her is her high notes became powerful whenever she uses her mask resonance or heady-mix depending on the song. If you want to witness her sheer magic when signing Broadway, then you have to watch her Barbara Streisand's "A PIECE OF SKY" the link is below @
Can i just say you are the most elaborate reactor i’ve ever watched here, goes to show that you know what you are saying !! LEGIT VOICE COACH... keep it up

Hello, can you react to this iconic duet of Regine Velasquez and Martin Nievera please. This is a broadway medley performed during their concert. I know you will enjoy and like this one as much as I did. :) @QESM
Coach, please react to Charice Pempengco's Listen by Beyonce. I think she's wearing black. And also her Whitney Houston medly with David Foster. I also love her rendition of God bless America at the Martin Luther King ceremony. Last but not the least was her Spangled Banner version. Hope you will enjoy viewing them as well. 🌹😌
I have been watching your reactions for Lea Salonga and I really enjoyed it and I really learn something from it. This is just a request if you check another Filipina singer by the name of Julie Anne San Jose. She is regarded as Asia's Pop Diva. If possible, please do check her rendition of Broken Vow (a song of Lara Fabian). I am just curious to know your comments to her. The link is ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-32wvLkbbVh8.html Thank you so much and I hope you will accede to my request. More power!
You are right!. Barbs has been her inspiration when she was younger. Not many have that quality and level the way Barbara sings which Regine was molded into. of course, there were the Divas then but I guess the sound was too black (pardon me) not as lyric and dramatic as Barbs. and Regine was the first singer in the Philippines to change the way singing is, way before Mariah came to the Phils airwaves. Back then there is only Whitney Houston and the only song we hear Pinoy usually sing was The Greatest Love of all because most of her song was really way up there. Then came Regine, who belted all Whitney songs in a singing competition, and from then on, all would be singers tried to be Regine hence Sarah G, Morisette, and others are born in the early 2000
Your commentary on "maintaining a neutral larynx" intrigues me. That seems to be the conventional commonly accepted view, but I have read some that insists that while maintain a neutral larynx is the ultimate goal, there are certain instances where having a higher larynx position is necessary to hit certain high notes and healthier than trying to maintain that neutrality even on high notes.
You should react to her daughter, The Asia’s Phoenix Morissette Amon🔥 -Akin Ka Nalang(Her Original and please turn on Caption) -Rise Up -Never Enough -I Wanna Know What Love Is -Phoenix(Her Original) -Chandelier -BangBang And many more🥰 You will be blown away with her vocals as well💛 SUBSCRIBED🔥
I must admire, your critique of her performance here is one of my favorites. You bring a knowledgeable and easy play by play of her techniques and how she is thoughtful in the choices she makes with her vocals and settings as a deliberate effort to give more experiences to the audiences. As normal viewers we don’t know the skill and techniques to have her color her voice in such a manner so I appreciate the simple explanation. She does remind me of Barbra Streisand in this and in fact she did a marvelous job dining Papa Can You Hear Me in another great video where she does that forward placement you mentioned. All the best from guam 🇬🇺! #newsubscriber
I think this was after her pregnancy when her voice gained weight and became mature. She used to have a very bright sound and she could belt with eyes open. I'm not sure if chest belt is definitely unhealthy but she's undergone intensive training since she was a kid by vocalizing neck-deep in river water. That's why she formed endurance to belt chest notes up to g5 and has the power and the volume to deliver earthshaking belts. Despite this, she's never had problems with vocal nodules and can still belt until now (although not as high and easy as before because she has acid reflux). One of my most favorite ballad performance of her is her rendition of Sometime, Somewhere: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1pPupRkNH1M.html&ab_channel=yetkl2
Interesting! She does Belt up there. It’s sort of a belt mix. It’s very unique! Yes I heard she suffers from acid reflux. Well that really effects the voice. As our vocal folds are a part of the digestive system. I think she’s a very skilled singer. Thanks for connecting xx
@@nowthen.4363 I'm sure in this performance she's mixing more than usual, because this is the second night of her concert. Her concert consists of high key song performances, so her endurance for me is unquestionable. Thank you for reacting to her! :)
Thanks for that wonderful reaction can you please react to miss julie anne san jose’s rendition of lara fabian’s “broken vow” thanks in advance God bless and more power
