Oh wow, a video about my own country! You mentioned that regiojet took over the country's rail market, and i fully agree. Before RegioJet and Leo Express (another smaller rail company), ČD was the only option and it's trains were just bad. Nothing to do except sit and look out of the window while watching the train stop in every village you passed through. RegioJet on the other hand offered free wifi, food to order, pleasant carriages and only stopping in big towns, this all for a very acceptable price. Although of course there are some problems (the dirty seats for example), it is a huge improvement. Regarding this exact route, it's cool that they were willing to operate one this long. It's great because in europe trains are usually only used for shorter trips, so i welcome this. I believe they are planning a route to Amsterdam too. Also, i wanted to say thanks for the video. It's impressive how much info you can out into it (Name a train just by seeing it pass by, talk about the WW2 history of a tunnel...) I learned a lot from this :)
If you are comparing ČD with Regiojet compare similar types of services. If you compare RJ intercity trains with local trains in nowhere, it is going to be worse, than IC train. ČD are trying to get it better, but it also depends on the contract. Our regions want low cost, thats what they get. If you pay get better trains. And IC services with ČD are similar in comfort with RJ or LEO.
I love your videos ❤. First, because I love trains. Second, because you are always so optimistic and appreciative, never complaining. Us, Czechs, often complain about everything - trains, food, delays, prices... It is so refreshing to watch your positive videos!

Good, informative video. I don't know your nationality, but you are so well informed about this region. And you spell correctly all those strange names. :-) I travelled several times this route partially, (except the occasional detours) many parts of it are familiar for me. I also like RegioJet better than the services of the Chech, Slovak and Hungarian state railway companies'. It is sad that the old, withrowed German and Austrian cars are still in better conditions in general than those ones which owned and run by state railway companies in this region. Not to mention the differences in the level of services. It is interesting, you mentioned that this train was sold out from Bratislava, and mentioned as a"party train". But seems so quiet and calm. Never can be seen a single person on the board. You should try one of the real party trains from Rotterdam to Budapest to the Sziget Festival. It could be more interesting (and cheaper!) for me, to share the compartment with mates in such a long ride. Once I travelled from Berlin to Budapest (Hungaria EC) with a Filippino young couple and a British hobo in the same couchette car. It was fun. A long train ride is a good chance to meet with interesting people. Of course you need luck to have a good traveling companion. And it is not guaranteed. Ich liebe deine Videos. Ich habe aber eine Empfehlung bezüglich der englischen Beschreibung: wenn man als Fahrgast mit einem Verkehrsmittel ‚„fährt“ dann ist das nicht Drive in Englisch sondern Ride. Nur der Fahrer kann auch „driven“ 😀
thank You for the great video! You"re quite lucky with the delay... some trains though the summer of 2021 experienced a delay over 10 hours (and some way over that). Great luck with the sushi set too since we've ordered a salat menu and got a worst case of diarrhea after arriving to Croatia for half a day :-/ Also the stuff took quite some time to deliver the beer (and since I saw a review of 2020 season I ordered 10 at a time so no problem with that). On the way back though they stopped serving at all starting at Hungaria border crossing... omg
since...according to EU legislation... you're able to get a 50% discount on your fare when delays are over 120 minutes, I got that on both trips which made them unbelievebly cheap... can't coplain

Ich habe die Tour in der zweiten Septemberhälfte gemacht, als Anreise in den Urlaub. Auch wenn ich nicht das erste mal in Kroatien war, war es so doch eine beeindruckende Reise. Zu dem Zeitpunkt wäre es allerdings Blödsinn gewesen, für ein Einzelabteil zu bezahlen, ich hatte ein 4er-Abteil für mich allein. Generell blieb ein Großteil der Abteile in den Liegewagen leer, nur die Sitzwagen waren ausgebucht.
Just try it next time the M2 metro line at Hungary, Budapest. The Déli pu., Széll Kálmán tér, Batthány tér, Astoria, Blaha Lujza tér and the Keleti pu. stations is most deepest underground in the country 😅🙂

Nice video! I also recorded my trip to Croatia with Regiojet and explained everything - it's on my RU-vid account. (but in Czech language). If there is anyone who can ask anything - than feel free to ask. Bc I also work for Regiojet and this line to Croatia I rode 5 times during the summer - and when I looked closely I didn't find myself on the video - quite shame). 😀🤟
@@doc7austin yes, this situation also unfortunately happened. And also when the train had 5+ hours delay. (the maximum was I think more than 11 hours - that's crazy). I was lucky that when I recorded my video (and rode to Croatia with my family).. we didn't have any problems at all (no delay, no problems with ac, not dirty coupe..)

@@juliaciazynska2719 you could buy the whole coupe for better price (the coupe is for 4 people). It had a lock on the door as well. There were not only coupe, but also in 1 wagon places to sit. I dont remember any robbery in the train (more likely people forgot something😂) the coupe was kinda normal. It was not that modern, but for that price it is ok. The prices in the train are also really good and there is also coffee for free (in the wagon n. 10). If u are going with friends or family i would recommend go and buy the whole coupe (i cant really imagine to sit that many hours).

Jako lijepo iskustvo i mladi češki student ponudio mi fini kolač spravljen od njegove kuće...jako ukusno kao čupavci ali bijele boje biskvita. Drago mi je da sam čuo češki govor mladih studenata. Htio sam do Praga ali zbog poznatog korona ludila nisam. Nadam se da ću 2022. u Prag sa RegioJet ekipom. Na you tube imam snimljeno 230 filmova RegioJet u Zagreb Gl.kol. i okolici. at time stamp 11:15 you had a compartment with a fully openable window, but later it had only a foldable window at the top? You changed to a sleeper compartment?

I had bad luck, because my couchette car had this window issue; it was a combined bicycle/couchette car; next time i will not book myself into that car (its easy to spot, because that special car has only 5 couchette compartments)

i don't understand why doc7austin brings up that history all the time. and one sided. just mentions the nazis. none of the shit the russians did. it really distracts from otherwise well made videos.
