You picked correctly. Now imagine a table full of crabs and a cold bucket of natty boh on a hot day. You might just be in heaven.

I lived in Baltimore for a few years and Natty Boh really grew on me. Just wish they still brewed it on Brewer’s Hill locally. I think it’s currently brewed under contract by the same folks that brew PBR. Baltimore is a great beer city though.

It's come a long way. I went to college there in the late 90s and was definitely not so great, but they've done a great job improving the city. Visited a few years ago for the first time in ~20 years and was so much better than when I lived there. ICB is awful though. adjunct lagers are, as a style, generally terrible; ICB is particularly bad. Never had Natty Bo.

The city is definitely great & was memorable during the brief couple days I visited back in 2015. Definitely wouldn't mind going back for a weekend if the same event on the global game I play with many others happens to occur there in the near future. Then I'll definitely travel the 6-8 hrs from Western Mass to return again to that cool city! 😅

Iron City was the first beer in an aluminum bottle if I am not mistaken. They became available in NJ way back in the early 2000s and I was payched to get my hands on. I thought it was undrinkable. My palate has developed much since. I need to revisit. Natty Boh was just okay to me. Okd Style and Utica Club are up there in my favorite regionals right now.

The Natty Boh logo is legendary here in Maryland. To bad it’s not brewed in Baltimore anymore.

Natty Bo (and rest of Pabst brewing portfolio) production recently switched from Miller to City Brewing as their contract brewer. The Boh I had since the change seems inferior to when Miller made it for them.

Pretty sure I've had Iron City once, a longgg time ago in 2015 possibly when I visited Pittsburgh for my first & only time so far, for an event.😅 It was good, but the city was even better! Awesome cool layout, small hilly roads in some areas, but downtown is very flat with a lot of bridges. Very nice place & the locals I came across were very friendly & outgoing!

As a Steeler fan, IC has to be the best! That said, I live outside Rochester, so Genny has to be in the conversation! Although I will put my Cream Ale up against Genny any time! I enjoy these videos!

I can get National Bohemian in the stores here in Virginia. It’s not bad at all on a summer day. I may mix up my basement PBR fridge with some Natty Bo.

@@treehousebrewco Munich Oktoberfest beers would be good. It’s easy to get 4 of the 5 in the states. A Helles comparison for summer would be a nice touch. Throw your coffee guys some love and do the same coffee beans but brew them three different ways (French press, pour over, aeropress).

Drinking an Old German Premium Lager right now, also from Pittsburgh Brewing Company like Iron City. Even though it’s lighter in calories, I like it more than Iron City. Always have felt like there was something off in the flavor with Iron City. The diacetyl mentioned in this video maybe? I don’t know. I’m too much of a dunce to know these technicalities in flavor notes. Old German is good, though. On Old German’s can it says, “The world knows no finer lager.” Well... I don’t know that I’d go THAT far. Still, it’s quite nice.

Gansett vs any aal next! It’s my favorite “local” cheap beer even though it’s technically brewed in Rochester NY under a contract with Genesee.

I don’t know how familiar you are with beers out here in Southern California, but I would love to see a Pliny The Elder vs Knee Deep Hoptologist vs Stone Delicious vs Firestone Hopnosis. I love them all, great DIPA’s. If you wanna include imperials Figueroa Lizards Mouth and Sierra Nevada Torpedo Imperial. I’ve been a Pliny guy for about ten years but they’re all great. Would love to see you break them down and hear your input.
@alejandroramirez4470
@alejandroramirez4470 24 дня назад
did you mean double hopnosis? I've only ever had them from the tall cans at 7-11 when available and it sure beats pliny the elder imo. Delicious is slightly better than the original stone ipa but the hazy (orange can) is great. I've yet to try the hoptologist and probably haven't had many (or any) knee deep beers honestly. Too much competition in CA anyways.
@TheRealSteveCampbell
@TheRealSteveCampbell 24 дня назад
@@alejandroramirez4470 the Hoptologist is great! And yea the Hopnosis is a double dry hop. I’m probably bias with Pliny because I’ve been drinking it forever, but I would strongly recommend Knee Deep. Knee Deep Simtra is my favorite beer of theirs. And I like Stone Delicious but to me it’s middle of the road. That’s just me personally, but yea CA has a lot of great craft beers
