The soul edge intro and song are special because we experienced them as kids, at a time when our hearts were pure, open, and easily touched. As adults we dont feel and believe as easily as we once did as kids because the world has closed off our hearts to some extent with the various life experiences and lessons we've been through, so the feeling we get from this intro is special because we cannot be genuinely impressed as easily as adults, so its kinda like the people who created this did something very nice for us by putting their heart and souls into this at a time when the artform of videogames wasnt even taken seriously by society, the feeling we get from this intro is rare to come by and im very thankful for it, big thanks to everyone involved in creating this art!
I was today years when i knew the scene in the river was with sophotia I always thought it was cassandra because she just looks so different in the rest of the intro, i definitely knew the statue was hephestus but the girl i thought it was cassandra
Because of an idiot called Tim Langdell and his company; Edge Games. He claims to have had the sole (no pun intended) usage of the word "edge" in anything that was related to video game titles in an epic delusion of grandeur. Until he was challenged by EA of all companies when they released Mirror's Edge and at the end of it all, Langdell had to relinquish any claim he had over the word "edge".
Se tivesse um top 10 jogos de luta dos anos 90, sem duvida esse jogo estaria lá. Diferença que eu vi na abertura (milagre eu reparar isso) é da lutadora que esta vestida na versão europeia em 2:07. Não sei se nessa epoca ja tinha isso, mas hoje por exemplo os jogos europeus rodam a 50fps e o resto a 60fps. Não entendo muito o motivo disso. Alias, nao curtia conversão europeia porque antes de começar o jogo, sempre tinha uma tela para apertar um determinado botao para converter (Isso em jogos piratas) e raramente ficava boa essa conversao PAL para NTSC
Li longs skin is brightened/lightened even though he's wearing a hat in the Western cutscenes. While in Japan they know he is supposed to be someone that lives out in the sun They also gave him self made nuchucku in the japanese version and some fancy silver one in the western 😂
I could have sworn mine was the same too, the opening on the left with Sophitia I could have sworn my young self was in shock to see her butt naked, the one on the right just seems different.
It's amazing how that intro blurb has made it into every SoulCalibur game to-date. I love it... "Transcending history and the world,.. A tale of souls and swords, eternally re-told..."
@@PhilipMarcYT yeah the gameplay was better as well as the graphics but I felt something was missing. Whether it was the musical score, the voice acting, the voice over, edge master mode, loveable characters missing or even the name soul calibur - I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but it just didn't recreate the connection I had with soul blade.
