No, they didn't. All they're doing is collecting 50% of the money for you, which is your publishing royalties. The other 50% is your songwriter royalties that you get directly from ASCAP or BMI.

Distrokid is a distribution company that gets your songs to streaming platforms and they pay you streaming royalties Sentric collects your publishing share of the that particular song. A song has 2 copyrights. Which is sound recording And composition You sound recording royalties would be given to you by distrokid And compositon would be given to you by Sentric. You have to also be part of a pro Like ascap,bmi,prs,socan

Sentric is a publishing admin. And bmi is performance right organizations. Sentric can collect mechanical royalties but bmi can’t
