Following this, the first appointment you get with your midwife is called a Booking Appointment. Mine was via telephone due to Covid, also it was completely out of the blue and caught me off guard. In this appointment the midwife will run through a series of in depth questions on health and lifestyle regarding you, your partner, immediate family and extended family. I found some questions quite challenging as I didn't know all the answers (especially when it came to extended family health).
