The reason the incant cost increase had such a bad effect is because the deep offering triggered the incant on the drawn cards, and the trigger on the discarded cards came from the crypt builder being played by discarding it. It so happened that the cryptbuilder was the left most card in that hand so it got played before the rest was discarded and so they all got their cost increased.

In the Midlands of the UK, my gf and I were in our garden watching the Aurora. We got some fantastic photos of it. We got lucky that it was almost a completely clear sky and that a lot of our neighbours all had their lights off because it was like midnight. Got to see it really clearly.

I wouldn't say "aurora at low latitudes", since the Aurora Australis went pretty far north, too. So it'd be more that the aurora were more visible closer to the equator. Unfortunately, it didn't go far enough north (or the Borealis south) for it to be visible for me. 1:13 Also, you almost certainly already know this, but the Earth is a giant dynamo. If the Earth were as static as a regular ball, then it'd accomplish the exact opposite effect, which would obviously be really bad. Just thought I'd put this here for posterity's sake.

@@RisingDusk As I said in the comment, I put the dynamo comment in for posterity's sake. As for the Aurora comment, it was mostly because many people probably aren't even aware of the Aurora Australis' existence, since it's only visible in Antartica, and I believe the southernmost areas of Argentina. Not exactly the most inhabited areas, and isn't exactly present in cultural lexicon, either, unlike the Aurora Borealis.

Sorry if I misunderstood your surprise or you realized later on. I'm pretty sure the before/after discard incant with Deep offering was as a result of Crypt builder. Looks like Crypt Builder incanted the cards in your hand before discard, then the Deep Offering incanted after the cards were drawn. Really wish Crypt Builder wasn't the leftmost card in your hand at that point. Curious if it would have given you the energy penalty on cards to the left of it, or if they're discarded "before" Crypt Builder is cast via offering.

I'm not sure if it's that or what. The way the Trigger stack should work had me confused there, but it might perform some kind of an interrupt or something. Very interesting regardless.

I was going to make a comment about how I don't remember the last time you used Gifts for a Guard but a quick search turned up a video from April so I guess that was more to do with not remembering it than it not happening.
