Monster Train was a steal, yes. I've been playing it for years on and off and still haven't explored this game to its full potential. Baldur's Gate 3, though. I'd been looking for a game like that my entire life, it feels like. A perfect escape. So good in fact, I'm not sure if I should be happy or concerned. Do you still play it, Dusk? Anyway. I'm glad you're here. Always nice to come back, knowing there's a huge amount of videos for me to watch. Cheers.
I actually never calculated my entertainment value per hour, I know myself to be rather conservative. My best purchases are all within the cents/hour range, however, I am reluctant to pay 30-40, much more 60-80 bucks for a game. They really got to give some high quality experience for me to consider buying one for that price. If I can get 40 hours or so, I consider it a good purchase regardless of price.
I main Necromancer and Mesmer, and I didn't get a chance to check out the land spear beta, but I am very excited for it! I'm most excited for the new raid, though.
I generally do the same thing with thinking of 'value' for the game. If I get about 1 hour/$5 bucks, then I feel it's good. My biggest entertainment value game is XCOM 2. I think I have like 6000 hours in it by now.
Yeah XCOM 2 is a steal. The moddability of WOTC especially is INSANE, the amount of vastly different run configurations you can get is really one of a kind. Also LW2/LWOTC, which is like a separate game that comes with it for free.
@@istvanvincze7411 Yep, I pretty much exclusively play LWOTC now. Just working through different mod configurations on that. I don't know if I could go back to vanilla wotc at this point. It's probably feel like super easy mode after the Hell that can be LWOTC, ha ha.
well, if you compare movies vs. video games in terms of $/hrs even most "bad value" games look comparatively cheap. but it's something i've thought about as well. MT and other games cost me like a cent per hour, which is a good deal obviously.
Which is exactly why I think, in reality, those games aren't really bad value! Some people are obsessed with 100+ hour games, but I think that's kind of insane. I'm happy to spend $15 on an 8 hour game that was good. Great entertainment value.
