First: Park house. Second: Wallpaper resembles Regular Show characters. Third: Ultimeatum picture in the background. Fourth: Red keyboard. Fifth: Eggscellent hat. Sixth: High five ghost drawing on wall + Benson's car. Seventh: Acid Tabs have Mordecai's face on them + Blue Jay. Eighth: Regular Show characters on lunchbox.
If you think about it, J.G. Quintel is actually kind of a genius. He crafted a show loved by kids and teenagers and then after ending that series he goes and makes an adult show for that now grown-up audience. Truly a genius.
@@castrosaul33 Close Enough, think of Regular Show but they're more free of what they say and do. Not like Regular Show doesn't give enough adult innuendos in the first place
I feel as though eventually they’ll finally put one of the Regular show characters as a cameo in a Close Enough episode, maybe even meeting the Close Enough characters.
I am convinced Regular Show and Close Enough are in the same universe, just happening at different times edit: People forget that just because it's by the same creator, it's not necessarily in the same universe as their other shows. That's why i made this comment lmao
@@Yuhyeauhuhsurebuddy1 I think it’s a multiverse different universes because we barley see any humans in regular show and In close enough we barley see animals or objects that talk...
@@mikeawsd thats not true there where tons of random humans in regular show. Sure there are none in the main cast but outside of that there are tons of humans
maybe in an alternate reality of regular show where pops fail to save the universe, when the universe restarts, the characters are put into human people
And I believe that must be the crossover of Villainous and Regular Show, where Lord Black Hat and Dr. Flug were sent Malum and Pops to the portal and he's being furious!!! And then, Lord Black Hat are sent Pops back to another dimensions and he's headed into the sun for himself and punish Malum for being failed the ultimate plans in the alternate ending of Regular Show!!! That must be explained about how Pops and Malum was sent to the another dimensions by Lord Black Hat and Dr. Flug!!! Right?
@@fershiothirty3056 yeah but the fact that the photo on the lunchbox of the girl is the characters of RG , well seems that its a sequel and maybe they all grew up (Benson sold the house maybe cause he is too old) Sorry for the bad english-
I love how Close enough looks exactly the same as Regular Show, they kept the same drawing and animation style! I grew up with Regular Show… and now I’m watching the edgy version basically🤣 JG Quintel is a genius
The Park House was the first thing I noticed. The show is basically RS with Humans and not-so-Handcuffed being geared towards adults. Cracked the first ep and loved it
My theory is that Close Enough is the prequel to Regular Show. CE introduces the talking animals that we see way more of in RS and actually how they were made. Only problem is all the RS references in CE of pictures of the main characters. But since they were the chosen ones it kinda makes sense that pictures of them are there where they’ll be in the future. Especially since in the final episodes of RS there’s ancient pictures of them sooo
No you idiots! Close enough is the threequel to J.G Quintel's 2am in the pm after Josh's acid trip finally wore off. Regular show took place while the effects were wearing off for about 10 years.
I really like these references a lot. It's like if J.G. Quintel really wanted a regular show/close enough crossover to happen but can't because cartoon network probably won't let him do it.
Alright everyone be real with me, you all either believe these references were put in just to say regular show and Close enough are in the same universe, or that creator is saying that he still loves regular show
I say in the same universe because in one video it's called 1 am in the pm I think. correct me if I'm wrong but it was a video of Mordecai and Benson doing acid at a food spot and Benson turn into a gumball machine and Mordecai turned into the bluebird and when the drugs were wearing out. They turn back to normal so in regular show a "kid show" in CN it must’ve been an endless inside joke where they were just on acid and other drugs bc in some episodes well every other episode it’s always a trippy psychedelic scene for example where they drunk a pile of crazy mixtures I forgot what the drink was called but it was a high moment in that episode. So yeah same universe and the characters we see now are the same from regular show and I may be reaching but in close enough the Emily may be CJ but just with a different name. Just a thought I may be some maybe bull but I think it’s close enough.
That lunchbox reference was my favorite one so far. I've been checking out Close Enough and gotta say, it so funny and great. Just seeing those references of Regular Show always makes me so happy to see.
@@homoroki I thought u were gonna be one of those those ppl who would go and say there going to walk the dog then come back 14 years later. If u know what I mean.
For everyone wondering where all the talking animals are, the Regular Show creators have confirmed that creatures like Mordecai and Benson are just humans drawn as animals and objects. With Close Enough, the veil has been lifted.
they have always been one of the greatest at doing cameos. from season 1 to 8 of regular show, they always referenced or even based an episode on old characters so late into the show.
The creators pretty smart he made a kids show and for teenagers and now they’re not kids we’re not kids were considered adults now so now he basically made an adult show
Josh Simpleton is a reference himself; JG Quintel also voices him in addition to voicing Mordecai. Plus, the animation style in Close Enough is the exact same as Regular Show.
From what I’m looking at, Josh in this show & Mordecai’s human form in 2 In The AM/PM is the exact same design; I think Quintel saved the old design for when he decided to make Close Enough, and the funny thing is, it worked!
As an adult I still think about going home after school and watching the regular show I wish there was more shows like this but there isn't so it's what it makes it special
This popped in my feed and I have no idea what either show is but the thumbnail had “Kim and Thurston” as real estate agents on a sign and that 100% has to be a Sonic Youth reference.
The new season's Halloween episode is quite literally just "Terror Tales from the Park". The ending is also a huge fourth wall break that caught me way off guard
everyone in comments: THE SHOW SAME UNIVERSE me: why tf would they sell a lunchbox with regular show peeps oon it then whO WOULD bUY IT at best regular show is just a show in this show
It’s hard to put a finger exactly where Regular Show took place. It seemed like a modern cartoon with references to the internet and Blu - Ray, but all the settings and situations were heavily based on the 90s and early 00’s. I’d say that Close Enough takes place slightly after the events of the last episode of RS but that’s really just based on the fact that CE might take place in the same universe as Regular Show does because we see the house in Episode 1B and saw the eggscellent hat in another episode.
I really like how the house reference is also a reference to Sonic Youth (I havent seen this show so correct me if Kim and Thurston are actually in the series)
