Without an insulated sleeping pad, the ground is going to suck all of your heat out. You’re not experiencing the cold from “the wind.” You’re experiencing thermodynamics.
Not sure yet, before this one I had a Marmot and it worked really well in colder weather. May consider that again. Will have to donsome more research. Considering also some roof top tents.
