Revealing the DFCs is a little messy but it kind of adds an interesting element to the draft as well; Reid gets to clearly signal black is most likely occupied and he gets to see white is probably closed as well
Interesting. On one hand Traumatic Revelation seems to be better than Gift of Completion, but if Reid was already thinking about RB sac it could make more sense as something that does can synergize well with Stromclaw Rager (you sac a phyrexian and get to Surveil before a draw).
@@lahpetsoj according to 17 lands data it has the 5th highest winrate of the color pairs. Its not bad like the other non-blue white decks, but its not "disgustingly strong". Anecdotally I've found that the deck is super reliant on getting the right cards with most of the key synergy pieces being uncommon or even rare, so sometimes you don't get the cards you need and the deck falls flat on its face.
Nonthikorn Kositaporn wound up with Alar,a splashed it in a double Ghalta deck, and trounced Reid with it. No idea where the other cards went, but I know a Niv wheeled, so it seemed like nobody went hard.
@@henryzelman4541 Reid played the Boon-bringer Valkyrie in his deck. It is incorrectly shown as Bola Slinger in his deck list, and he never drafted a Bola Slinger. The commentators mention this when the deck list is revealed at the end of the video.
I really do enjoy me some insight of the drafting at pro tour. However, it seems like you guys spotlight the same people drafting every time what makes me sad. It is fully understandable for the games and for the deck tech vids, but for draft, it should be more liberate.
