Reiju was the bridge between Sanji and her brothers. She was stuck somewhere in the middle and I honestly believe that is far more cruel. She takes it in stride though and does what she knows is best for Sanji because of that little bit of humanity she carries with her.
@@Vermillionx Sanji had the willpower to defy his ‘father’ and leave the family meanwhile Reiju was scared shitless despite being a success and having a position in the family. Reiju hated the coldness of her family but was afraid they would discriminate her as well if she sided with Sanji. She could have left along with Sanji but she didn’t because she was too proud being a success. In no way she had it the worst in the family
Beginning to wonder if it's because her mother knew about Reiju's humility. She knew she was the only one who would show Sanji any compassion or would actually listen to her. She knew Reiju was strong enough (emotionally) to weather whatever life threw at her no matter how much it hurt, but that Sanji needed that sympathy.
@@komos3719 True....but then again, I guess you could say 'tell that to her dad'. In any case, I think that's sadly the case for the eldest siblings (no matter how old they are) when a parent dies. They have to start shouldering some the responsibility, and since Judge only cares about having soldiers for children and since the other boys have no emotions, in Reiju's case it means she has to step up to not let Sanji loose his hope that he could have a better life. Either way, I don't think it ever occurred to Judge to take his children's age into account
Reiju, the only one besides Sanji to have a heart inherited from their mother, but had to steel her emotions otherwise she would have been seen as weak like Sanji and treated terribly by the rest of her family. Reiju was honestly an amazing older sister, she was intelligent, kind and strong. She would have rather see Sanji live and prosper, then be married off and was willing to sacrifice her life along with her family to see him live his. She deserved so much better and she really did become one of my favorite newly introduced characters in the WCI arc.
I hope she get to spend some more time sanji and the strawhats I love to their relationship grow more . At least sanji mom plan worked for two of her kids one more than the other but reiju will be a good queen she has a strong heart and actully unlike her other brother cares deeply for sanji and actully has emmitons .
I think she's a scientist aswell and she far surpasses judge's intellects. She's the one who modified sanji. I also think that reiju was similar to sanji. I mean we see her cried and deeply cares for sanji and her mom.
No actually, for reiju's case, she was not scientifically modified since she was a fetus. Reiju was only modified after she was born, while her brothers were all modified in the uterus before they were born. Thats why Reiju still has a bit of emotion. As for Sanji's case, the mother had enough of judge's insanity and she disagrees for all her children to be abnormal. So she drank poison when she was pregnant with Sanji. she survived, but Sanji's modification was not complete. Thats why Sanji werent as advanced as his brothers
@@fluffypoof9139 i think sanji was the most advanced. Because his modificafions was in his exoskeleton he can't turn his body like those of his brothers but he already has the abilities and self reconstruction but still remain sane.
@Super-Saiyan-Blue-Gogeta Twins, triplets, quadruplets etc. come out of the womb, one at a time, not all at once. Whoever gets delivered first is the oldest, second is second oldest and so forth.
I always see Sanji as a true biological son to his mother and that the other brothers are just adopted alien project. Even the face and hair colour matches
Wait enter as in how do you begin watching/reading one piece assumably? Well the first thing I'd suggest is just realise the scale of what you're going to get into, it's pretty long (nearly 1000 episodes, 24 mins each including intro/outro) or over 1000 manga chapters. I guess next if you're willing to get into it just bare in mind that the first 50 episodes are a slow chug but it only gets better from there, there is a few arcs that are optional (arcs being more than a few episode stories) and a few filler arcs (ie not canon, doesn't denote quality) that are a must watch. After that it's just a slow but sure chug along, watch/read a few every week odd and you'll catch up in a year or so (yes year, the anime is damn long but worth). Manga would be far quicker but isn't for everyone, supposedly better than the anime pacing wise though (less or no repetition of flashbacks which is pretty common in the anime).

This lady is the best mom! Reiju inherited her heart from her. She didn't want to get married off ( which I think happened to her mom) now she is in a better place away from that place
I think the fact his mother brush the fact that sanji siblings beat him is probably because she dont want to worsen the situation between the siblings.
I find it heartwarming to know at least in One Piece, despite me not watching it all the way, nothing personal One Piece fans but good gray 1,000 episodes is too gosh darn long even for me, but anyway back to the topic, it warms my heart that at least in this anime they do an excellent job making strong mothers. I seen the FIRST 50 episodes. And I cried here and there but I notice how there are A LOT of strong positive women. I was raised by a single mother growing up. So, sees these many different forms of motherhood shows how equal they are to the great men in the world of One Piece.~
The problem with the 1000 episodes is the pacing. Because of the toei contract they have to release episodes on a certain schedule an I think there’s a requirement for low filler or something. Anyway people interested in watching it for the first time but not interested in the 1000 episodes should check out One Pace It’s a fan project that re-cuts the pacing to remove the 10 minute recaps, stretched out scenes (there’s a lot of saying one line then camera panning to various characters reactions that makes a 30 second scene into 3 minutes and long walking scenes, some of which are epic and others that are there to fill screen time) and other types of filler Once you re-cut it you can pretty much consider it about 500 episodes
She said she doesn’t regret what happened to sanji…she means she doesn’t regret that sanji didn’t get powers, and she doesn’t regret taking the medicine which made sanji powerless. She means all this not to say shes glad sanji was hurt by his brothers/dad, but because shes glad he got to have human emotions and kindness unlike his brothers. She values emotion and kindness over power and was willing to sacrifice power to ensure she had a son that could feel emotions like a regular human. Most W mom in anime
People say robin/brook had the saddest life while that is true but if you compare the original upbringing..robin had support and love from his archeologist friends and was also able to do her hobbies which is reading... brook had pretty good life from the start...whereas sanji did not have any friends / supportive parents or siblings and didnt get any love and support since his early childhood days ( except for his mother whom he rarely got to meet)... continous bullies everyday for years... mocked down by his own father and ridiculed for his weakness and love for cooking ... Was locked in jail for 6 months straight with a metal helmet depriving of his freedom and cooking..the mental trauma of this level at this young growing phase of his life is unfathomable ... and then death of his mother/getting disowned by his own biological father /constant bullies 😢 ...the difference for Robin/brook they had a tragic day death of their friends and families and they just had to live with the pain and move on with it ..until they met luffy and others. Whereas for sanji the bad events happened for years growing up ... he had to face bullies literally everyday and had a solidarity life everyday without any parental love but rather hate from his father. People tend to forget he had lots of difficulty adjusting to a new world around him after he left ... then later the incident where he and zeff starved without food and water for straight 85 days!! Things got better for sanji only after this incident..
Now im glad Sanji destroyed his number 3 can. Fuck Judge. He mightve had good intentions, IF AT ALL, fearing his family mightve had contracted a similar disease like his wife, but boy he lost himself trying to create the ultimate soldier.
Sanji has the most empathy then his brothers. He really is a kind character of one piece. Him and corazon are my top two favorite selfless characters of one piece. There are others but they are my top two on my opinion

Reiju didn't have her emotions utter sapped like her brothers, but Judge modified her in other ways. Including a loyalty conditioning. It's why Reiju didn't just run off with Sanji, nor could she fully help him.

Needing a reason to want to be the best is weak AF. I'm guessing Zoro will have more of a backstory, but wanting to be the best just because is amazing. Go read Veritas to understand

Zoro aspires to be stronger to protect all those around him, he never stopped working out to get stronger even when he was heavily injured like after alabasta or the nothing happened moment, even when sanji called him out for overworrying about luffy losing in alabasta he was working out, in water7 he was worried sanji was gonna die against cp9, kuinas death pushed zoro to get stronger so he could make sure that something like that could never happen again. zoro has always been anxious of not being strong enough to protect his friends, it's one of the reasons he strives to be the best Not every character needs a sad complex backstory or a greater alter motive to be the best maybe you should go back and rewatch some more zoro moments bc you clearly aren't actually seeing what his character is actually about
