I wish the xj was never stopped in 2019. If they want to build electric cars fine, don't stop building conventional engine cars. Offer both, electric for the Green energy people. Plenty of people out there who aren't green energy people. Bring back the xj in both formats. Don't kill the cars that made Jaguar great and famous.

It’s pretty sad. I drove the iPace and the experience was not memorable at all. I think companies need to continue to offer both ICE and EV.

You do know that it takes two to three times more petrol to produce the electricity for these ev than if you had just burned the petrol first. And it takes lots of petrol to make all the parts that is needed to build a ev. And the claim is that it will be 75 to 100 years before enough infrastructure will be in place to come close to the demand for ev. If the govt wasn't subsidizing the ev industry, it would never be a viable energy source. Technology is a long way from total electric!!! And carbon footprint is merely a talking point for a certain few rich people to get richer.

Along with that Range Rover has a production facility opened up in my Country India and also Volkswagen which needs to share the details of my car sale and also on many complaints has opened a factory about to move to grand stage in Canada where my brother stays

@@hbsharkman as soon as folks get 400 miles out of a recharge station located every 5 miles or so AND that takes 2 minutes to "fill", then you'll get people to go with electric cars. That's is 20+ years from now.

This is a forward thinking, progressive decision needed to help stop the carbon footprint our vehicles have on Earth. Jaguar Land Rover has announced this decision a few years ago, so I’ve been prepared for it and have been waiting patiently for years on the all electric XJ. For now, I’ve kept my XF but have purchased a Quattroporte GTS for my full sized sedan needs. Hopefully this new flagship will be my new Jaguar replacement in my garage.

@Wooly Chewbakker True, but I also believe that with this new Reimagine strategy they’ll have a flagship model which is what I’m referring to.

Thierry Bolloré is making a HUGE mistake making Jaguar a completely all electric company by 2025. In my opinion, he can push for most of the Jaguar portfolio to turn electric but he should still keep some internal combustion engines because there are people who do love the internal combustion engine (ICE). Jaguar's exhaust sounds and performance of the SVR cars and suvs are one of the best in the market. If there is an agenda to make Jaguar all electric and sell it off, then that is a different conversation all together. Thierry Bolloré should also understand that just making electric cars will not solve the purpose. Few things that needs to be answered and addressed before they start making more electric vehicles. Jagaur I-Pace is an awesome car but it has its flaws and that's why it cannot keep up with Tesla Model 3 or even Audi E-tron. 1) The Jaguar I-pace's mileage compared to Tesla is very bad, so significant research needs to be done to have a competitive mileage. 2) Fast charging capabilities, and supercharger network. 3) Jaguar I-Pace is a superior car in possibly every segment compared to Audi E-tron but still Audi is doing 2-3x business compared to Jaguar. Has jaguar evaluated why? Is it because of reliability? Is it because of power? Thierry Bolloré should work on ground level before making such bold claims. Jaguar is an awesome brand, it just needs love, care and restructuring to compete with its German rivals and change people's perception that JLR is a unreliable brand. First thing he should and must do is to make Jaguar and Land Rover among the most dependable auto brands in J.D. Power study.

If a person have placed an order of 6 Landrover Sentinals with 2000 kms ev range per charge, does he saved the value of all motor companies before a new company came up with 1000kms range. Does the royalty along with research is respected is more value that a spiritual leader with 31 Rolls Royce. Same for Audi a8 Security EV with 2000 kms range.

The Rare Metals War: the dark side of clean energy and digital technologies’ by Guillaume Pitron It may interest you to read 'The Rare Metals War: the dark side of clean energy and digital technologies’ by Guillaume Pitron before Jaguar go down the very expensive and potentially more environmentally damaging route of all electric cars. In essence, the very rare metals these cars need are mined in third world countries with appalling conditions for their work force. They require significant quantities of rock to be extracted to get the minute quantities of metal that will e extracted per tonne. They are very polluting to extract and then there is the loss of land scape, food production land and habitat . Then there is the re-cycling at the end of the life, or the lack there of. Scientists say we will be lucky if we can re-cycle just 10% of the rare metals used in these battery powered vehicles.

Since childhood I dreamed of owing a Land Rover, for many years it was something that seemed impossible but I finally fulfilled my dream with very hard work. I bought a Discovery Sport that turned into my worst. I am sorry to inform you that the deal you made in Colombia to sell the brand is making you look very bad. There’s no place to turn for help. I am definitely NOT the customer with unresolved issues and being mistreated in every way! Please, please hear me out, I am completely helpless!!

Jaguar is finally making beautiful and sexy cars that are fun to drive and pleasure to own. Jaguar cars now are in their best shape since E-type. And people start to like it again! There are so many of them in my town in Siberia. It means that conservative Russian people are not afraid to buy it anymore and trust Jag even with Russian terrible road and weather conditions. And now this Thierry guy comes to ruin it all for Jag! Thierry, get your hands of the best brand ever, please.

@Wooly Chewbakker as of right All electric vehicles are powered overwhelmingly by fossil & Nuclear fuels So there’s no moral high ground in using electric until you have an alternate clean source of energy. As for Noisy? We’re not talking about commuter transportation were talking about Luxury sports cars. Who wants a quiet 911 GT3 or F type R ? I’ll take a noisy engine over a digitized sound of a blender.

Absolute madness. Going electric by killing off all your electric cars in late development then expecting customers and dealerships to wait about seven years between any new models . Commercial suicide.

Go electric or go home. You will not be able to sell petrol/diesel in the UK before too long. If you want to sell cars in UK/Europe it has to go electric. Best do that early.

Try The Rare Metals War: the dark side of clean energy and digital technologies’ by Guillaume Pitron for a true picture of what going electric actually means rather than the narrative we are fed.
