Mind, a premier mental health charity in the UK, boasts a federated structure with hundreds of local branches. As the demand for their services increased, the need for enhanced knowledge sharing, networking, and communication across the federation became clear.
Their existing platform, 'OpenHub,' couldn’t keep up with the growing aspirations of the organisation. This video showcases our partnership journey with Mind in rebuilding OpenHub from the ground up.
We delved deep into understanding the core requirements of Mind’s staff and volunteers. Our findings? They needed a platform where they could self-serve, connect, and learn. They wanted to tap into collective experiences, share best practices, and drive efficiencies.
Our approach involved creating rapid prototypes and validating our designs with real users. The result is "Connecting Minds", a powerful intranet built on Wagtail CMS-the trusted platform behind big names like Google, NASA, and the NHS.
Now, staff and volunteers can effortlessly:
